A Forced Forever

Summary

The story follows Y/N, an ordinary girl who wakes up trapped in a massive, heavily guarded mountain fortress owned by the ruthless mafia boss, Jeon Jungkook. After a failed attempt to escape, Jungkook confronts her in his private study and reveals a devastating truth: her family accumulated an unpayable debt and fled the country, leaving her behind as collateral. Instead of hurting her, Jungkook delivers a cold, transactional ultimatum—either repay the astronomical debt immediately or enter into a contract marriage with him. This arrangement serves a hidden, dual purpose; it fulfills a strategic need for Jungkook while placing Y/N under the absolute protection of the Jeon name to keep her safe from dangerous rival factions. Given until sunrise to make her choice, Y/N is left paralyzed by fear, realizing she has no option but to accept her fate within this golden cage.

A Forced Forever

AIN

The cold mountain air howled against the towering stone walls of the Jeon fortress, but inside, the silence was absolute. Deep within the heart of the isolated mansion, Y/N slowly blinked her eyes open, her vision blurry and her head throbbing with pain. As the unfamiliar, grand surroundings of the dimly lit room came into focus, panic gripped her chest. She didn’t belong here. This wasn’t her world.

Desperate to escape, she stumbled out of the room and into the vast, echoing corridor. But before she could take another step, the heavy thud of leather boots made her freeze.

Every guard lined up along the walls instantly bowed their heads in unison. Y/N turned around slowly, her breath catching in her throat. Standing at the end of the hallway was Jeon Jungkook. Dressed in a flawless black suit, his expression was completely unreadable, his dark eyes radiating an intense, piercing coldness. He didn’t say a word at first, but his commanding presence alone filled the entire space, making it clear that escaping from his domain was absolutely impossible.

How do you like this introduction? We can adjust the tone or the pacing if you want, or we can move on to planning how the story will progress from here.

The story revolves around the theme of forced proximity and the clash of two entirely different worlds, exploring how innocence and darkness coexist within a high-stakes environment. Set against the backdrop of a cold, royal fortress, the narrative focuses on the tense psychological dynamic between an absolute outsider, Y/N, and a ruthless mafia leader, Jeon Jungkook. It highlights the transition from intense fear and hostility to an unexpressed, protective loyalty, proving that even in a world ruled by power and silence, human vulnerability and emotional connections cannot be entirely erased.

The desolate winds of the mountain howled like a quiet dirge against the towering, dark stone walls of the Jeon fortress, but inside the mansion, the silence was absolute—heavy, stifling, and absolute.

Y/N slowly forced her eyes open, her vision blurred and her head throbbing with a merciless, dull ache. As the grand, unfamiliar surroundings of the dimly lit room came into sharp focus, a cold wave of panic gripped her chest. The vintage furniture, the high ceilings, the shadows dancing in the corners—none of this belonged to her world. She was entirely out of place.

Desperate to escape, she stumbled out of the room, her frantic footsteps echoing through the vast, hollow corridor. But before she could take another breath, the heavy, rhythmic thud of leather boots made her freeze in her tracks.

Instantly, the armed guards lining the walls lowered their gaze, bowing their heads in unified reverence. Y/N turned around slowly, the breath catching in her throat. Standing at the end of the long hallway was Jeon Jungkook.

Immaculately dressed in a tailored black suit, his sharp features were completely devoid of warmth. His dark, piercing eyes held an intense, calculation-driven coldness that seemed to steal the very air from the room. His commanding presence alone filled the entire space, making it instantly clear that escaping his domain was an impossible dream.

“Follow me,” Jungkook said, his voice flat, devoid of emotion, yet carrying an undeniable authority that brooked no argument.

With no other choice, she followed him with trembling steps into his expansive private study, where a single desk lamp cast long, dramatic shadows across the room, heightening the tension.

Jungkook sat behind his heavy mahogany desk, tossing a thick folder across the polished surface. It slid to a halt right in front of her, displaying her father’s signatures alongside an astronomical, unpayable debt.

Fixing his unreadable, pitch-black gaze upon her, he leaned forward slightly, a faint, cynical edge touching his lips as he spoke in a low, measured tone.

“Your family accumulated a debt they had no intention or capability of paying... which is exactly why they fled, leaving you behind to face the consequences. Now, you are left with exactly two choices.”

He paused, letting the weight of his words settle over her like lead.

“Either find a way to return every single cent of that money to me right now... or marry me.”

The world seemed to stop spinning for Y/N. She stood entirely paralyzed, staring at the ruthless mafia leader in a mix of sheer disbelief and terror, completely unable to comprehend what hidden motive lay behind his sudden, bizarre ultimatum.

The words hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. Y/N felt the ground tilt beneath her feet. Marry him? The proposition was so absurd, so entirely detached from her reality, that for a fleeting second, she wondered if she was still trapped in a fever dream.

But the stark reality of the room pulled her back. The ticking of the grandfather clock in the corner sounded like a countdown. The scent of expensive leather, aged paper, and a faint hint of rain from the open window filled her senses. And above all, there was him—Jeon Jungkook, waiting with the absolute patience of a predator that knew its prey had nowhere left to run.

“You... you can’t be serious,” Y/N whispered, her voice cracking as she finally found her tongue. She took a involuntary step back, her hands trembling against the fabric of her shirt. “I don’t even know you. I have nothing to do with my family’s mistakes! You can’t just keep me here and force me into... into a marriage!”

Jungkook didn’t blink. He leaned back in his leather chair, weaving his fingers together. The single lamp on his desk illuminated the sharp angle of his jaw, casting the rest of his face into deep shadow. When he spoke, his voice was dangerously calm, devoid of any anger, which somehow made it terrifying.

“I am a businessman, Y/N, not a charitable organization,” he said softly, each word measured and cold. “Your father signed these papers knowing exactly what the penalty for defaulting would be. He chose his path. He chose to run. And he left you behind as collateral.”

He stood up slowly, his towering frame immediately dominating the room. Y/N’s breath caught as he walked around the desk, stopping just a few feet away from her. The sheer aura of authority radiating from him made the air feel thin.

“I don’t look for affection, nor do I require a traditional wife,” Jungkook continued, looking down at her with unreadable, pitch-black eyes. “What I require is a contract that ensures the Jeon name remains untainted by scandalous rumors, and an alliance that settles this debt permanently. By becoming my wife, you are protected from my enemies, and your family’s debt is erased from my ledgers.”

He gestured slightly toward the heavy mahogany door. “If you walk out that door without signing, my men will no longer ensure your safety. The streets outside are far less forgiving than this fortress, and my rivals will eventually find out whose blood runs in your veins. They won’t offer you a choice.”

Y/N looked from the thick folder on the desk to the silent man standing before her. Her heart hammered against her ribs like a trapped bird. The realization settled over her like ice water: she wasn’t being asked; she was being shown the boundaries of her cage.

“I need time,” she choked out, gripping the edge of the desk to keep her knees from buckling. “Please... just let me think.”

Jungkook turned his back to her, looking out the large glass window at the rain starting to lash against the mountain trees.

“You have until sunrise,” he replied flatly. “The maids will show you to your quarters. Do not make the mistake of looking for an exit.”

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
