Chapter 1
I had one goal and one goal only, and that was to become the only living Shamanic Princess in existence. I have been training my entire life to become the best shaman I could be. My parents raised me to kill any opposing Shaman who interfered with my family. We practice dark magic, and we summon demons to do our bidding. My name is Phyre (Fear-e) Wix.
I am seventeen years old and I am stunning. I have long, dark hair and emerald eyes. The only friend I have is not even alive. Daleyza is my spirit companion, and she is the only friend I need inside of me when I am battling against the shamans. I encountered on my journey. I had just killed another male shaman, and I left his body to rot in the scorching sun. Dark scarlet blood poured from his wounds, and he lay lifeless on the ground at my feet.
“Let the birds eat his corpse,” I said to Daleyza as she exited my body. “I thirst for more power.”
“What about the other Shamanic Princess? She asked me. “What about the other Shamanic Princess?”
“Then we must find her and kill her so I can take her powers and control the universe.” I said with a wicked laugh as I walked over to the river. I placed my hands into the water and welcomed the coolness against my hot, sticky skin. The water changed to a crimson color as it cleared my hands. I quickly washed the rest of it off before I stood up. “Let’s go home so I can pack a travel bag, Daleyza,” I said as I walked toward my castle. “We have us a princess to kill.”
