The Eye of Shvora
In the beginning, there was nothing but the heavy weight of the dark. Silence that had no birth and would have no funeral.
This eternal stillness was called the Waters of Shvora, a sea where no wind blew and no light dared to wake the deep.
Then, from the heart of that nothingness, rose something… and that something was an Eye.
The Eye opened, and it looked upon the void, and it saw the emptiness of the Waters of Shvora, and it saw eternity, and it saw darkness. And then, upon seeing it… the Eye blinked.
In the moment of that blink, the entire Universe—our Universe—was born. A cosmos filled with stars and meteors and lonely planets appeared… a cosmos where molecules would clash and burn, and behind the Eye’s eyelids, life would rise.
And this Universe—our Universe, with its mountains and its sorrows—will last only as long as that single blink of the Eye lasts.
And when the blink ends… when the Eye finally opens its lids to wake… our Universe will be gone, swallowed back into the stillness as if it had never been dreamt at all.
