Hi! I’m Elena Fox, but everyone calls me Ell.
Before you keep reading, buckle up—because my life is about to take you on a ride you’ll never forget.
As far as I know, I’m just an ordinary sixteen-year-old girl living an ordinary life. I have long midnight-blue hair that fades into deep sapphire at the ends, bright emerald-green eyes, and I’m not exactly the tallest person around. People often compliment my eyes or ask if I dyed my hair, but I’ve always laughed it off.
I live with my parents, go to school, hang out with my friends, stress over exams, and dream about what the future might hold. Nothing about my life seems unusual.
In our world, there is still a royal family.
Most people see them as nothing more than celebrities with crowns. They attend charity events, wave to crowds, give speeches, and appear on television. Everyone believes they have no real power and exist only to preserve history and tradition.
At least... that’s what the world believes.
Growing up, I was strangely fascinated by them. While everyone else admired actors, singers, or athletes, I found myself reading everything I could about the royal family. Their history, traditions, castles, and even the smallest details about them captured my attention. I couldn’t explain why, but whenever I looked at pictures of the palace or watched them on TV, I felt an odd sense of familiarity—like I belonged there somehow.
I always laughed at myself for thinking that. After all, I was just Elena Fox, an ordinary girl living an ordinary life.
