Chapter 1
The story begins on a sunny day.
A girl named Elra was incredibly excited for her first day at her new school. She couldn't wait to make new friends and start a new chapter in her life—a fresh beginning.
After getting ready, she grabbed her bag and headed to school, practically dancing and singing along the way. She was far too excited to care about anything else.
After a while, Elra finally reached the school.
The building was beautiful, but there was something strange about it. Maybe it was simply the excitement of starting somewhere new that made everything seem so wonderful.
As she stepped inside, however, a strange feeling came over her.
Everything looked… familiar.
She knew where her classroom was without asking anyone for directions. She somehow knew where the different classrooms were, and even the teachers seemed familiar to her.
But how?
She had never been to this school before.
Elra found it confusing, but she decided not to think too much about it. Maybe she was simply good at remembering things.
She entered her classroom and introduced herself to everyone. Soon afterward, the teacher arrived and showed her to her desk.
Her desk was beside a window.
Elra smiled when she looked outside. The view was beautiful, with greenery surrounding the school and a sports court visible from the window.
She already loved her new classroom.
Then she met a girl named Arya.
It didn't take long for Elra and Arya to become best friends. They talked about everything and quickly became comfortable sharing their thoughts and little secrets with each other.
A few days passed, and everything seemed perfectly normal.
One day, Elra decided to explore more of the school during her break.
That's when she found the library.
When she entered, she immediately noticed something strange.
There was no one there.
At first, Elra thought everyone must have been busy having lunch. She slowly walked toward the bookshelves, looking at the titles and trying to decide what she wanted to read.
Then she saw it.
A strange diary.
It had no name on it.
Elra's curiosity immediately took over.
"Let's see what's inside."
She picked it up.
The diary was covered in dust, as if it hadn't been touched in years.
But before Elra could open it—
Ding!
The bell rang.
Startled and caught off guard, Elra accidentally dropped the diary.
"Oh!"
She quickly picked it up, placed it back on the shelf, and hurried out of the library.
She didn't want to be late for class and get scolded.
As soon as she returned to the classroom, she went straight to Arya.
"Arya, do you know what? I went to the library during break, and no one was there!"
Arya's expression suddenly changed.
"Wait… what?"
"Are you serious?" Arya asked. "You went to the library?"
"Yeah," Elra replied, confused by her reaction.
Arya stared at her.
"Don't you know?"
"Know what?" Elra asked.
"We're forbidden to even talk about the library."
Elra's eyes widened.
"What? Why? What's wrong with it?"
Arya shook her head.
"I can't tell you."
"But why?"
"I'll tell you when I'm comfortable enough," Arya said quietly. "But not here. And definitely not at school. We're forbidden to talk about it."
Elra didn't want to pressure her.
She respected Arya's privacy and decided not to ask any more questions.
Still, she couldn't stop thinking about it.
What was wrong with the library?
Everything had seemed completely normal when she was there.
Then the final bell rang.
School was over.
Elra packed her things and headed home, but the strange library remained stuck in her mind.
Why was it forbidden?
She had gone there herself.
And nothing had happened to her.
So why weren't they even allowed to talk about it?
As Elra walked home, one thought kept repeating in her mind.
"If nothing happened to me in that library… then why are we forbidden from talking about it?"
