Prologue
I was betrayed.
Deprived.
Grieving.
Replaced.
And for a while, I thought those four words were going to define the rest of my life.
I had lost my grandmother.
Then I lost the man I thought would stand beside me.
My boyfriend.
The person I trusted with the parts of myself I never showed anyone else.
I lost my career too.
Or at least, the future I had spent years trying to build.
I remember thinking:
This is it.
There is nothing left for me.
At the time, all I knew was that everything was over.
Or so I thought.
Because sometimes an ending is nothing more than a beginning wearing a disguise.
And maybe...
just maybe...
it’s never too late to begin again.
