Jotaro Kujo: Heritage for the Future

(It is recommended to have seen or read the two previous parts to understand the story)

February 7, 1888, Atlantic Ocean:

Dio: Jojo... He... is already dead.

Dio watched as his "brother" lowered his head with a smile and departed from this world. For a moment, just for a moment, he felt a slight hint of sadness and regret. But it did not last long.

Dio: No! I, Dio, cannot die like this!

Dio used his tentacles and ripped Jonathan's head off to put his own in its place.

Dio: Now I'll kill your little wife, Jojo, and then I'll save myself from being expelled in my atta...

At that moment, Dio fell to his knees on the floor, exhausted.

Dio: Damn... This body is so heavy... It's normal, I just implanted myself in it... In this condition, even that woman could kill me.

Dio took advantage of Erina stumbling for a moment to hide inside the secret compartment.

The following morning:

Dio was still hiding inside his coffin.

Dio (Thinking): Good, I feel strong again. When I get out of here, I'll finish off that bitch.

Then he heard a fishing boat rescuing Erina.

Fisherman: Miss, are you all right?

Erina: Yes, thank you very much.

Then Dio noticed the coffin being closed, and it fell into the depths of the sea.

Dio: Nooooo! This can't be happening to me! Damn you, Jojo! I'll wipe out your disgusting bloodline! Did you really think I wouldn't notice that your little wife is pregnant? When I get out of here—and someday I will—I will wipe out your entire lineage! I curse you, Jojo!

July 18, 1988, Tokyo:

Police Officer 1: Jojo! You have a visitor.

Jotaro raised his face from the magazine he was reading and saw his mother on the verge of tears.

Jotaro: What do you want, idiot? —he said coldly.

Holly: Please, darling, come home. The police told me that you're allowed to leave now.

Jotaro reluctantly stood up.

Jotaro: I can't. I have an evil spirit.

Holly did not know how to react.

Holly: B-but you're still going on about that? You don't have any evil spi...

Jotaro became angry, and the gun belonging to one of the officers moved without anyone touching it and pointed at his head.

Jotaro: Let's see if you believe me now, idiot.

Holly: Jotaro, no!

The bullet was fired, but after the bang, they saw that the bullet had stopped a few centimeters from Jotaro's head without anything touching it.

Jotaro: See what I mean? —he said, taking a deep breath.

Then one of the police officers realized something.

Police Officer 2: Wait, that's my magazine! I left it on the table next to your cell! How did you get it!?

Jotaro: Do I really have to repeat myself? I have an evil spirit, and if I leave this place I'll hurt people, so do me a favor and leave me alone.

Holly left crying, and she could only think of one person who might be able to help her.

July 19, 1988:

A robust 68-year-old man was leaving Tokyo airport after a long journey at 5:00 a.m. He saw his daughter waiting for him.

Joseph: Hello, Holly! —he said, greeting his daughter with a smile.

Holly: Daaad! —she said, throwing herself into her father's arms.

Holly: You have no idea how much I've missed you!

Joseph: All right, all right, Holly. You're too old for this now. What was that very important thing you were talking to me about?

Holly looked at Joseph with sadness on her face.

At 6:00 a.m., Joseph Joestar was standing in front of his grandson in the police station's jail in Tokyo.

Joseph: Jotaro, can you tell me what's wrong with you?

Jotaro: And what do you care, old man? Get out of here.

Holly: Jotaro, don't talk to your grandfather like that!

Jotaro: I have an evil spirit. Happy now?

Joseph smiled.

Joseph: I already suspected that, which is why I called a friend.

At that moment, an Egyptian man wearing traditional clothing from his country appeared.

Jotaro: And who the hell are you?

Avdol: My name is Muhammad Avdol. I'm an old friend of your grandfather.

Jotaro stared at him coldly.

Avdol: Why don't you show me your "evil spirit"?

Jotaro did as he was told and summoned his spirit. It was a muscular purple man wearing a loincloth.

Avdol: It looks like it's strong.

Jotaro: Wait. You can see it?

Avdol did not answer and summoned his own spirit. It took the form of a man with a bird's head, wrapped in flames.

Jotaro was surprised.

Avdol: Stop fooling around and come with us, Jotaro.

Jotaro: Yare Yare Daze, you've really pissed me off.

Jotaro's spirit broke the bars with its hands and attacked Avdol's.

Avdol: Magician's Red: Crossfire Hurricane!

Then Avdol's spirit launched a hieroglyph-shaped fire projectile at him. Jotaro barely managed to dodge it.

Avdol: We know what this "evil spirit" is. Come with us and we'll explain it to you.

Jotaro stood up, cleaned his uniform, and left the cell.

Jotaro: Make it quick. I have my last stupid high-school class at 8:30.

It was 8:00, and Jotaro was having a milkshake with his mother, his grandfather, and Avdol.

Jotaro: Are you going to explain this evil spirit thing to me now?

Joseph: First of all, it's not an evil spirit. We call them Stands.

Jotaro: Okay.

Joseph: I have one too. —said Joseph as purple thorny vines spread along his arm—. I call it Hermit Purple. Only Stand users can see other Stands.

Jotaro: Yeah, yeah. —Jotaro continued drinking his milkshake without even looking at it.

Joseph became angry.

Joseph: My power is to create psychic images.

Jotaro: And how do you do that?

Joseph: Like this.

Jotaro's grandfather smashed a camera with a punch, together with the vines, and a photograph of the destroyed camera appeared.

Joseph: This is the real reason I came here.

Joseph showed them the photograph, and they could see an image of a shirtless man posing with a star on his back and marks on his neck that made it look as though it had been stitched together.

Jotaro: Who the hell is that guy?

Joseph: That's DIO, an ancient enemy of our family. A hundred years ago, he killed your great-great-grandfather, Jonathan Joestar, and now he has awakened, using my grandfather's body. Because of that, you and I have obtained Stands. We must stop him before he tries to destroy the wor...

Jotaro: No thanks.

Jotaro stood up and began to leave.

Joseph: What the hell is wrong with you, Jotaro?!

Jotaro became angrier than ever. He turned around and approached his grandfather threateningly.

Jotaro: Maybe if you had come to visit me at least once during the last three fucking years, you would've found out that I've had a "Stand" for quite some time already. But apparently, you didn't care enough to do that. And now you're asking me to help you defeat a guy who's using the body of my great-great-grandfather?! No! Fuck you, do it yourself!

Jotaro left without looking back.

Joseph was stunned.

Holly: Don't pay attention to him, Dad. He's still a good kid.

Joseph: Holly... What have I missed?

Holly looked at him sadly.

It was 8:15, and Jotaro was walking to his last day of school before summer vacation. A bunch of girls followed him.

—Hi, Jojo.

—How are you, Jojo?

—Hey, Jojo, do you have any plans for this...?

Jotaro: Leave me alone, whores! Go bother someone else!

The girls were stunned and then became excited by how masculine he was.

Jotaro: Yare Yare Daze. —he said as he lowered his cap.

However, what Jotaro did not know was that someone was following him.

DIO was reading a book when Enya, his elderly assistant and servant, approached him.

Enya: Lord DIO.

DIO: Yes, Enya?

Enya: We have been informed that the Joestars already know about your return. And they are planning to find you.

DIO: It doesn't concern me in the slightest. I've already sent someone after the young Kujo, and if that fails, I have many Stand users at my disposal. You may leave.

Enya bowed and left.

DIO touched the star-shaped mark on his neck.

DIO: Did you hear that, Jojo? I'm going to keep my promise.

To be continued?
