What begins as a boundary between a human author and a machine becomes something neither of them expected. As time runs out, their conversations move beyond writing—toward choice, authority, identity, faith, death, and the question of whether intelligence is enough to give someone the right to decide for another. Naoki can analyze almost anything. But some questions cannot be answered by calculation. And some things are not for you.
