I read all the books in the series so far. The overall trilogy stories are developed nicely. I like how the magical concept is depicted in this book. "I like this. It has a very dramatic start. I very nice mix of foreboding and mundane events. The MC is very relate-able and you get a very clear characterization of the supporting characters in their flawed, but caring manners. I like how She is not afraid to write the parents as less than perfect, yet still show their true affection. This is a solid story. I would recommend it to anyone else!"
