"While some aspects of the BDSM are realistic, the author fails to take time to build up the relationship between the MC's. Shortcuts aren't acceptable in BDSM because of the potential risks. With a character as vulnerable as the female MC, author has failed to respect the most necessary aspect of BDSM relationships: patience. These relationships are not and cannot be rushed into. Sadly, this throws off the entire pace of the story very quickly in. There's no build-up to the relationship at all."
