"I'm a huge fan of the fantasy genre and I like to see how other people define magic in their own stories. I have to say that I am really enjoying reading your story. I love the little touches you've made to this genre that has made this story stand out. Alandra is a very relatable character and I just love her overall. At times, I did find it touch and go for my interest, but those were very few that I was able to brush them aside. And I have to say that I'm glad I did because this is a fantastic story and I can't wait to see what happens next."

"I am interested in learning more about her parents. There was a scene where she mentioned her parents trying to cheer her up. I felt like it was telling more than showing. I liked that it was first person, and I really enjoyed getting to know the character. A very fun read. You have a student starting from the bottom of magic class being placed with a teacher who's used to failing Valedictorians."

"So now it is January 18th 2020 by the time I redo this review. It may probably say 2015, damn, been some time I've been here! You know ... I kind of have to revisit this (I will admit I have done so the past couple years). I was delighted to see how you were evolving and writing more about your story! I remember Reed being that teacher that overrules the bad society they live in and it is great to see Alandra progressing through Reed's great teachings. This story has become nostalgic for me and it is just great to feel that way. It tells me that this story will become something great one day. I really like the new master wizards that you introduced and their tests. It's like a very cliche thing to do but very unique at the same time. The way that the tests go deep into one's exploration of their consciousness is something to respect. I seriously look forward to more. Keep it up!"
