Park Jimin: Achievement of Desire; a book by Jeon Jungkook
First of all
I’m Jeon Jungkook, a professional photographer, loving life with my husband, model and dancer, Jeon Jimin. You could consider this book as my autobiography. You could also consider this as a manual to successful dating (not really, I wouldn’t suggest that). As you read this book, I will go through the steps of how I got to the good side of my husband, and how not to flirt if you don’t want to potentially get punched in the face. Everyone has their own tips for dating and I’m not saying my book will give you any advice. My ways luckily worked with the shy boy I had a crush on in college. In this book, you will read how I tried to persuade him (keyword tried). The rest of this book is more like a sneak peek to the beginning of our relationship and how we built it to what it is now,
Jeon Jungkook, in Seoul, 20th of October 2022.
And baby, if you’re reading this, I just want to say that I love you very much, but you knew that already. (I just imagined when our future child/ren read this and how much they’ll cringe. Hi future kids, your embarrassing dad here! Love you!)
One - Straightforward “flirting”
It might work for some people, but if your target of interest is not intoxicated, I’d confidently say it won’t work. Or at least I failed, you might succeed. (So I suggest you use this with extreme caution if the person in question isn’t known to be okay with it. So simply, no hoe no go. Just saying.)
The first time I saw my future husband, my heart made a thousand somersaults, time stopped, the Universe sucked me into an empty space, his beauty blinded me.
A boy I had never seen before was sitting on a bench in the yard of our school. He was reading a book. The wind played with his hair, making the tangerine locks waver slightly as he slowly turned the page. His whole posture looked defined, noble even. Round reading glasses rested on his button nose, eyebrows tad bit scrunched as his eyes concentrated on the text. The sunlight made his hair form a halo, completing the image of a perfect angel. Or a devil, as he immediately had swept me off my feet.
Like in a trance, I walked up to him and sat down, smirking when he jumped and looked at me, deep brown eyes confused and startled. His face was beautiful and it fed my artistic eye. I knew from that moment that I wanted to photograph him, capture his beauty with my camera.
“I’m like a sexual snowflake. Each night with me is a unique experience.”
Now, I wasn’t really a playboy, even though Jimin probably thought I was. I didn’t go around sleeping with every guy (or girl, as the female students didn’t understand I was into dick. It was actually quite amusing as they constantly tried to get into my pants, not giving up even though I never gave them attention). But when I did go to parties and was looking for a night full of pleasure, that kind of flirting I had just used was my go-to tactic.
For a moment we were both quiet. I waited for a flustered reply and stared at his photogenic face, studying his moving irises, loving the way I saw my reflection from them. I was so close to him I could smell his strawberry shampoo. Some blush crept on his cheeks, making me choke on my spit at the adorable sight.
“W-what?”
I chuckled. Leaning a bit closer, I brushed my thumb over his jaw. He flinched and stood up, stumbling as he walked away with a fast pace. I noticed the way his hips swayed.
I was kinda disappointed and surprised. I didn’t maybe understand that being that straightforward wasn’t the best option when trying to get whatever I was even trying to get. Now that I think about it, I’m not sure what I wanted to achieve.
For starters, throwing in a sex implying pick up line indicated the want and need to get laid. But then there was also my fluttering heart which I didn’t notice at the time. I had never been in love before. I had thought I was, but after meeting Jimin, my whole world changed. Then there was my photographer mind speaking: a beautiful man and a camera. Do the quick math and you get a good result for the upcoming portfolio. If I’d get him to model for me, maybe I could get some action, too.
I looked at his figure. I could see that his body was one of an athlete’s, but in a sophisticated way, so no track and field or such. His shoulders were stiff as he held the book tightly to his chest. I had made him either scared or nervous. I hoped for the second one.
