Prologue
Today, you will be told a story.
Prepare yourself, it's quite shocking with a wide variety of truly unique elements. These include a hero and a villain in a word unlike our own with good people and bad people split with the line down the middle. A place with do gooders and people who are more than perfect. People with powers that will truly spark your imagination and people who dedicate their lives to improving society and cleaning up the streets.
That's what you want, right?
A black and white world where everything is either good or bad. That's how we are, no? Now you may go, "Well, narrator, dear, I most certainly am not one of those people." I'm sorry to say it's almost guaranteed that you are one of those people.
No, it's not your fault, I couldn't blame you for that! It's not you but the world we live in. Sure, we all "know" this isn't a black and white world. We don't do things like in the news, portray ourselves as the good guys and everyone else as the bad guys. We don't have good guys and bad guys. We don't have masculine things and feminine things that are entirely different. If we aren't for something, we obviously aren't against it. When we play chess, it's not black and white pieces. As children, we don't play cops and robbers where one team in doing good and the other bad. We aren't notorious for double or nothing, friends or enemies, right or wrong, on or off, conservative or liberal, winners or losers, no we obviously embrace the in between.
The world would be a very different if the above was true.
Now, I could tell a thought provoking story without a clear hero or villain, but people don't like that, now do they? No, people adore a good guys and a bad guy because it makes everything so much simpler! So that's what I give to you.
I won't even hide it. I'm telling you know. There's a hero and a villain and they both are more than happy to have these titles. See? I just made things so very easy for you.
As I am your fabulous guide through this fantastic tale, I may as well tell you about the hero. Everyone loves a good hero, and this hero is good. They are the embodiment of "good." Good looking, strong, super powers, helps people all day. They work with the police to sweep crime off the streets like the other heroes of the fair city they live in. Brave. Bold. A true white knight helping the good citizens that walked about the calm, clean streets the police strolled upon.
The protagonist of our story wishes to make it very clear that this is not him. He is the villain of our story, and I think this is a good place to start.
