Prologue

PROLOGUE

The Goddess of Moon—Selene, and one of the Lunar Goddesses along with Artemis and Hecate, was the only one who still had their power within them.

The three Goddesses were the only one who survived the disaster that happened during the assembly. With the three of them being together in one place created force against the evil power of the divine law. That’s why they managed to survived.

With Selene’s frail body and limping legs, strong enough to gather the strong force of the Gods and Goddesses, she was given the task by both remaining Goddesses.

Hecate and Artemis asked her to assemble the powers of the deities inside the room as soon as possible or else it’ll be too late.

Selene was honestly scared. Despite being the Goddess for a long time, she was scared. She has always been a fragile, elegant and beautiful Goddess aside from Aphrodite. She maintained her positivity and never interfered with the deities up until now.

She blamed herself— if only she didn’t come to the assembly, none of this would’ve happened. It was her fault and she was petrified.

And now, she was tasked to do something risky in order to protect the Gods and Goddesses’ possessions.

She looked over at Artemis who just gave her a warm, soothing and reassuring smile that everything will be alright. Then to Hecate who was already panting heavily but just sent her nod towards Selene to continue. She nodded, lips trembling as she lifted her arms, crossing it above— forming an energy.

With one last breath, Selene cried and yelled. “I hereby pronounce the birth of Seven Gods in exchange for the mortals!”

Her decision was just so selfish– she had to save the existence of Gods and Godesses even if the life of the mortals are on the line. But it was the last option that they had.

As what Hecate said, the way to save the existence of Gods and Goddesses was to gather the powers of the deties and lives of the mortals.

With that, she looked down. She was horrified at the scene.

She could hear mortals screaming down there for help as the water splashed them down in instant.

She could feel the burning fire on her skin as the people were dying to get out of the area with hot lavas.

She could feel the entire countries shaking, indicating a massive earthquake.

Things happened in just a blink of an eye. She have sinned against the mortal and the Deities.

When silence took over the heaven and earth, her tears stopped. Only then she realized that she was the only living left in this world— be it mortals or Gods.

Artemis and Hecate along with the others have vanished into thin air as soon as she yelled out those words.

But that changed when cries were heard, echoing throughout the entire place. She walked to where the sound was and eyes widened when a floating cloud suddenly appeared meters away from her.

She elegantly and beautifully walked to the bundle of cloud along with her silk of clothes sliding behind her.

Her eyes landed below, and burst out in tears when seven beautiful infants revealed under the pack of cloud, peacefully laying down.

They weren’t an ordinary infant nor ordinary immortals. They are powerful and the last Gods who can do something even ten Gods can’t do.

The infants were created in case something will happen between heaven and earth—to Deities in general. They were secretly created by the 3 powerful Gods and only the Lunar Goddesses can summon the birth of the Seven Gods.

The seven infants were blessed with extraordinary powers since half of the 3 Gods’ powers were given to them. And now that the rest of the God’s and Goddesses’ along with the lives of the mortals were transferred to the infants, Selene knew they won’t be just be ordinary Gods out there.

In the Deities’ life, they call the babies infants. The infant deities are unlike human infants who will be born with no knowledge and awareness while the infant deities are complete opposite.

“Such beautiful infants...” Selene muttered, covering her mouth. “The last Gods—the Seven Gods."

She inhaled sharply, travelling her hands on the skin of one of the babies before lifting him up. She leaned the baby’s head on her chest.

“A beautiful infant indeed.” she said proudly, like a mother. She then put the baby back and continued to admire and caressed the sleeping lovely babies.

“The seven of you will protect the heaven and earth.” She announced to them, rather loudly, making one of them wake up and giggled adorably.

The baby raised his arms, wanting to be lifted up and Selene did so.

“You will be the one to protect the others.” She tapped his nose making him squeal in delight. A smile appeared on her lips before she brought the baby back to the bed of clouds.

The baby widened his eyes in confusion as she watched the Goddess.

The Goddess took a glimpse of the earth before flipping her hands, raising the clouds— where the babies laid, and chanted words.

Whenever she chanted, blood would spurt from her mouth. Pain would radiate throughout her entire body, and it was awfully agonising.

“The world has been reborn. Only the seven of you will be able to save it.” Selene whispered, coughing out the remaining blood from her body. “The moon will protect you– I will protect you, hopefully.”

With that, the babies floated in the air– sleeping so peacefully, oblivious about their situation except for one baby.

Selene gathered her every bit of power inside her to put the seven babies inside the moon she provided.

“There are seven moons and now there are only seven gods left with different powers from the ancient gods.” She continue to chant.

“Please protect yourselves, you were able to live in exchange for the lives of the deities and mortals—” Selene choked her words, feeling herself turning to ashes. “—and my life.”

With that, Selene smiled bitterly before she disappeared into a small specks of dust while the Seven Gods were curled inside each moons she provided.

And that’s how the seven moons— pink moon, flower moon, blue moon, strawberry moon, blood moon, harvest moon, and lastly, the super moon were created.

The moment they will be born will be the start of the challenge to ascend themselves to High Gods.
