Prologue

“996; 997, 998; 999;” he growled.

One was missing.

He knew immediately that they took him.

He grabbed the phone from the wall and dialed his number. This was enough. They couldn’t handle any more kidnappings and murders.

“Chief,” he said, his tone firm and angry.

“Yes, Mr.Davidson?” he questions in a teasing tone.

“I was wondering if, by any chance, you know why one of us is missing,” he growled, clenching his jaw tightly.

“Oh, yes,” he fake-exclaimed. “We took him for some, business, and, unfortunately, he won’t be returning back,” you could practically hear the smirk in his tone.

“Okay, listen Chief,” he yelled. “You are going to stop this. We’ve had enough of your invasions. We declare war against you! We can’t handle this anymore.”

“Okay,” he spoke, his teasing tone making the person on the other line furious. “But just remember, not only are you putting us in danger, but you’re also putting your family in danger,” he purred.

His grip on the phone tightened. He hung up without any further discussion. He picked up the phone and dialed another number.

The phone rang for a while and then the person answered. “Yes Chief?” he said.

“Prepare our groups. This could be the begining of war.”
