I stood near the mirror as I scrunched my ginger hair in my hand, trying to get it a little wavy. Brax came into my room and just looked at me, shaking his head as he laughed at me. I turned around to look at him.
"What?" I snapped at him, he walked over to me and grabbed my leather jacket and tightened it around me.
"I don't want anyone looking like your a piece of damn meat, please keep this tight around your body?" He asked and I rolled my eyes, slapping his arm.
"Brax, I'm a teenage girl. I know how to protect myself and I have been around fighting, guns and knifes all my life. I'll be fine," I said and he sighed before nodding.
I looked back at my mirror before my phone went off, causing me to jump up in surprise. I picked up the phone and check the ID to see it was my best friend Cate, Brax just shook his head and walked out of my room.
"Hey Cate," I said once I accepted it.
"Hey Angel," Her voice came through my phone, "What are you wearing for the first day?" She asked, I knew that she probably had put her hand through her hair at that time, annoyed probably as well.
"I'm just wearing a crop top, a pair of ripped jeans and my leather jacket," I said, pushing my ear harder against the phone as I grabbed my bag off of the floor.
I pulled into the car park off our school, Cate and Jamie were standing at the front door. Jamie had a cigarette up against her lips and Cate was laughing and joking about as I got out of my car and locked it.
Cate spotted me and smiled at me as I walked up the stairs, getting closer to her. I started coughing because of Jamie smoking as Brax's car pulls into the carpark.
"Sorry," She muttered, dropping her cigarette on the floor and crushing it with her foot. I noticed that my brothers were with their best friend Nathan or Nate to them.
"He's so hot," Jamie said and my head snapped towards her, "Nate is," She said, and I punched her arm and she growled.
"Ow, what the hell was that for?" Asked Jamie, narrowing her eyes at me. Oh if looks could kill.
"He's bad, you know that." I warned her, and she closed her eyes nodding knowing I was right. I smirked as she registered that I was right about it.
Cate just laughed at the both of us and then shaking her head at me and Jamie, before the bell started ringing and we all started heading in.
I remember a time where I didn't have Cate and Jamie, a dark time. They say that time heals the pain but I just think that it brings more pain until you find out what really happened.
My oldest brother Jay was now a gang-leader, after our parents Maddison and Jason were murdered in cold blood. My mum, Maddison had beautiful blue eyes much like mine and Jay's. Caleb, Brax and Gray all have green eyes like our father. They were the most perfect couple that everyone had seen, however they themselves had the most horrific past, they were both gang-leaders and had a lot of enemies and that's what got them killed.
Our homeroom teacher looked around the class, I'm presuming she is looking for Brax, Gray, Jay, Caleb and Nate. Cate was trying to talk to me but I was to worried for my brothers safety. I hated when they weren't in class because it could mean that they are in danger, they could've gotten into a fight or doing gang duties.
Cate obviously saw my worried expression and sighed, leaning her head against her hand looking at me when the door slammed open and my brothers entered with Nate and I sighed in relief.
I turned to Cate, "Hey, What did you say?" I asked her and she chuckled.
"Do you want to go out tonight?" She asked and I thought for a minute before nodding, she then smiled.
