An Intriguing and Intelligent Novel
"I read this novel chapter by chapter as it was posted and, I confess, I looked forward to each new posting. It is a gripping, well-constructed novel with an excellent central character and a cast of three dimensional characters with whom the reader cannot help but engage. The story is gripping and grows in tension and complexity as it proceeds. The writing is well-paced and the dialogue excellent. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants an excellent well told story which engages and holds the reader's attention throughout. My congratulations to the author."

The one comment in get most of the time. "your story has lot of showing than telling." and when I read your story I experience the same way. to have a fluid conversation will make your story easy. "I honestly can say I am not one for historical stories though this one really gripped me. I felt the amount of action is enough to get anyone interested. I will say I had to brush up on my history during my reading which was a minor inconvenience though I truly enjoy it. As a whole I do feel that Smoky Joes really has the potential to form into something great. I just would prefer more background considering I found myself researching certain important historical aspects of the story! The writing style is great, I can tell that the author is very skilled. Overall a great story."
