Chapter 1
She’s a girl who creates trouble for all. Lila Patel, a 22 year old girl from a well-to-do wealthy family is the definition of trouble.
She’s a girl who commits several sinful acts. She is a girl who sleeps around, but the interesting thing is, she doesn't regret any of her actions. Not even this very moment.
Regardless of her past acts, this ungrateful night hit her hard like a pile or rocks, or something even worse.
“Fine! I’m Leaving! Are you happy ???!!” Lila screamed at the top of her lungs, anger raging from inside her. Packing her third suitcase, and tears streaming down her cheeks, her parents looked at her with complete disappointment. They all had reached their limits because of the lack of control of their young daughter. Their role as parents was no questionable. What more could they do to raise such a disciplined young woman?
Well, nothing can be done.
The rebellion was something she no longer enjoyed, and right when she was going to prove her point, show that she was finally willing to stop being a slut, it was too late.
“You don’t deserve to live here in any part of this country. No place is good for you.” Her father, spoke harshly. “We’ve taken you to different colleges, all over India. And you never cooperate with the students or the teachers!”
“Ranvir-” The mother, Lalitha, was interrupted, tears finally falling down her cheeks as well.
“Lalitha, let me finish.” The father spoke, his calm voice diminishing well into rage. “Our daughter is a disgrace. I didn’t want to believe this until now. You are definitely a mistake, until you finally change yourself. Get out of my house!”
Definitely a mistake. How harsh of him to say those words.
Lila paused her packing, not believing the words that came out of her father’s mouth. Did he just call her a mistake to come into this world?
So, her father basically regrets having sex with her mom, because POOF! A baby girl was the result of their actions.
“You’ve corrupted your intelligence. You have a brain, but you never use it! Get out of this damn house right now!” Ranvir pointed his hand towards the door, indicating where Lila should be: away from the sacred home, because now sinful people should be inside.
Her brown eyes were watery with tears and she was too shocked to argue back. It’s as if the adrenaline was gone like a candle with no light.
She was scared.
She was humiliated. Nothing hurt her more than be treating this way by her father. He basically implied she was a useless being.
Sooner or later, her neighbours and friends would find out that her father kicked her out of the house. Not only that, it’s as if the father had lost hope in his one and only daughter. He had prepared everything at least 6 months prior to this tragic day.
He wanted her out of the house. That was his plan all along.
Well, Lila was a mistake after all wasn’t she?
“Your plane tickets are outside the doorstep. Get your life together first, before you ruin our reputation, disgraceful girl.”
The mother, Lalitha was feeling hopeless and helpless. She had just lost her daughter, and she couldn’t argue with Ranvir. She never was able to because she never had the power to do so.
Dragging her bags out the door, she turned towards her parents one last time. “Don’t worry, I’ll never come back. I was a mistake after all, and you don’t want mistakes to ruin you.”
