Cold Monday morning
The morning sun came to awaken me on a cold Monday
morning. “Good morning mondays. Oh right I hate Mondays,
Tuesdays, and hotdogs, but I’m forgetting one thing: what was
it? Oh ya I also hate zombies and vampires.” I stretch. Leum
starts to wake up still hugging my leg though the blanket.
“Good morning! Ya pretty las.” Foxy walks in through his door
that I made for his room. “Don’t call me that Foxy. okay?” I
say as I rub my sleepy eyes in discomfort. “Why not
Maddison? What do you not like that name?” Foxy sits at the
foot of my small bed.
“No, I don’t like that name, ok. Just don’t call me that
ok?” my voice starts to get deep and slow. “Fine then. I’ll just
call you. I’ll call you Marshin, or predator.” Foxy tilts his head
to the left. “No I just don’t like it.” I look at Leum, who is
laying on my legs on the blanket hugging them. “I’m gonna go
get breakfast. Then I'm gonna go outside of the wall and go
scavenge. Do any of you boys want anything while I'm out.” I
lean against the door frame.
“What about…… what if you find plushtrap? Will you bring
him home? PLEASE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!” Leum
looks at me his eyes start to get big and they sparkle. “UHG.
Fine but as long as he or she is not as bad as you are. Ok?” I
get down on my knees trying to get down to Leums level of
sight. “Ya he’s not that bad. And he’s small like me.” Leum
gets excited.
