Chapter 1

I started to run along the walls, transforming into a pegasus, my white wings shimmering in the sun as I flew. A few cadets saw me and were gawking at my odd form. I landed on the wall, forming back to my human self, minus the wings...

“Wha! Go get Captain Levi!” a cadet yelled and I looked over spooked, turning and jumping off the wall, Giant white wings hitting the sky yet again. I screamed as a figure hit my form, causing me to fall out of the sky. I opened my eyes not noticing that I had closed them, only to see the person get hit by a titan’s hand. I turned back into my pegasus form, landing myself onto the ground. I made my wings disappear as a man came near, seeing me and flew onto my back. I kept running and he slid something over my muzzle, then stearing me back towards the wall. I felt like my wings were going to pop out and in an instant my white wings were out and we were flying, no... SOARING! right above the people on the wall. I whinnied as I could feel him hold on for dear life to my mane, clearly afraid of falling to his death. I whinnied, flying faster. I tucked my wings in and dove towards the ground, landing and running to the HQ I always see them leave. He dismounted, getting off and looking at me weirdly as I turned back into my human form, my ankle length white hair flowing down around my smaller form. I stood, a Navy blue dress falling down and pooling around my toes.

“Hello Master.” I say and he looked at me like I was crazy. I cocked my head to the side as he just kept looking at me weirdly.

“Who are you?” He yelled at me and I cowered, being scared almost to the brink of tears. I hid my face in my hands, sniffling as tears threatened to spill. I looked up wiping the tears off my face, riding the evidence of any tears that had fallen. I gave a small smile, standing up again.

“I’m Achelois, I am a minor Moon goddess, the humans call me “she who washes away pain”. I say and he looked around, walking over, causing my reflexes to make me jump. I feel him embrace me as hooves rumbled nearby. I hear the sound come closer and then stop, causing me to look up. A man was reaching out for my Master so I pulled my Master behind my back.

“Achelois, It’s okay... They are my comrades.” Master said, laying a gentle hand on my tense shoulder. I quickly went behind his back and allowed them to talk.

“Who is this Levi?” The man asked and I spoke up before him.

“I’m Achelois, I am a minor Moon goddess, the humans call me “she who washes away pain”. I say yet again, getting a doubtful look from the man. The man curtly nodded in my direction before turning back to Master Levi, continuing their conversation. I walked over to the stables, watching a pregnant mare lay down. I walked in towards the mare, seeing that her water had broke. I made gloves appear on my arms, the shoulder length gloves providing protection from the amniotic fluids.

“Shhhhhh, it’s okay girl.” I said, calming her with a song I once knew;

"A man came across this old tower one day

It was straight like from a book he once read

He lifted his head up and saw this young lady

And here’s what the lady said

“Moi je m’appelle mademoiselle Noir

Et comme vous pouvez le voir

Je ne souris, ni ris, ni vis

Et c’est tout ce qu’elle a dit”

The man was so scared, he could only run away

He ran to the town and then said

“I just saw a lady with the longest dark hair

And I think she’s a living dead!”

The people, so scared, took their guns and their swords

They ran to the tower and then

They saw the pale lady and felt a great fear

When they heard how she said it again

“Moi je m’appelle mademoiselle Noir

Et comme vous pouvez le voir

Je ne souris, ni ris, ni vis

Et c’est tout ce qu’elle a dit”

The people, they knew what this all was about

She was clearly a demon from hell

They decided to set her long hair on fire

In the end it would burn her as well

But the lady was no demon, she was a lonely soul

Just like in that book they once read

Still waiting for her prince while her hair was on fire

The one last time she said

“Moi je m’appelle mademoiselle Noir

Et comme vous pouvez le voir

Je ne souris, ni ris, ni vis

Et c’est tout ce qu’elle a dit”

Once the song was over a small winnie sounded from the mare's foal. I smiled and tilted my head down to the foals, blessing it with a long life. I heard a few pairs of steps coming my way, I turned my head towards the sound to see my Master and the man standing in the doorway.
