I walk into my last hour class when I sat down the teacher started calling names and when she got to mine it was the most stupid name to me my mother could have game me.

" Zelan are you here,” he asks

" yes, sir ” I answer with the same blush on my face... some people snickered at my name and other whisper something like poor boy.

The teacher went back to calling the rest of the names , the class was art and it was one of the thing I was really good at besides being able to run long distances.

The teacher went on about who the nude model will be coming in soon when the parent and our school principal allowed it .

When the teacher gave us our assignment it was to sketch something that meant a lot to you. I look to the walls then down at the locket my parents gave me before they died in a fire. Without command, my hand started to sketch my parent’s faces, with so much detail and within the hour someone was look over my shoulder. Their breath hitting my neck.

" very good Zelan I like the work. It’s very detailed and look almost real” mr.tate said as he walks away to look at the others work.

The bell rang shortly after mr.tate check the last of the artwork each of us did when I stood I put the art in my bag and made my way to the door I push the door open. Making my way to my locker I see my bully standing there I decided to take a detour and head for the door . Once out in the parking lot, I make my self know to my stepfather. I walk to the truck and get in I say I have work and played my head on the window.

I step from the truck when he pulls up to the small downtown cafe, I wave goodbye and head in for my shift
