Perfection, that is all I could say about my life with Jake now. Everything was too perfect as if...it wasn't even real like it was all just a dream that could be snatched away if I dared to blink an eye. Jake was everything I have ever dreamed of, he was too handsome with a body built for a Greek God but he worked for it day and night. Working out was like something werewolves had to do without even thinking about it, they just did it because it's in their nature. Jake cared for me, I couldn't complain really but ever since he found out he was born of royalty he has been...distracted.

"What are you thinking about so deeply," Jake asked drawing circles on my naked back.

I sighed staring at the white fluffy pillow my head was resting on, "Nothing much."

Jake growled playfully turning my body around to face him and I laughed."If its nothing then why are you lying?" he asked raising a dark eyebrow.

"Fine It isn't nothing, I'm worried about a few things. The next full moon is coming really soon and you marked me which means we have to...you know fully mate. I don't know how I feel about that." I said looking at him stare back at me with his beautiful silver grey transparent eyes-they were the most beautiful distracting eyes I have ever seen. It's not that I didn't want to fully mate with him, obviously, it was bound to happen but I was just nervous and maybe it was just too soon. I mean the next full moon was literally in three days and after everything that just happened, I wasn't sure If he wanted to mate with me yet.

"Explain what you mean by not knowing how you feel about us mating. I am your mate and it is bound to happen Prisca-whether you like it or not. Don't even think of lying to me about not wanting to mate with me, " he said burying his nose in my neck and inhaling deeply "I know you want to, I can smell your arousal every time you are around me." he said as a matter of fact and I blushed deeply-how could he be so blunt about it.

"Of course I want to mate with you, " I mean who wouldn't? I thought out that part pushing him away since he was distracting me and I needed to have a proper conversation with him "I was just thinking that it just seems a bit too soon after everything that just happened. Me losing my dad, you finding out your true identity and finding out your stepbrother was actually the villain trying to murder your ass for years."

Jake moved away from me leaving me cold and I didn't like that I was already missing his warmth. Ever since Jake marked me I have always had this urge to be stuck to him literally like glue, it truly bothered me sometimes but that's how the mate bond worked.

He sighed and his facade changed, he seemed annoyed and bothered suddenly."Prisca, it is never too soon to have sex with your mate. I know that everything that happened was tragic and sad but it's over now. I am glad I am of royalty, it's what I have always wanted anyway"

I sat up straight covering my naked torso with his white sheet, I couldn't believe Jake was saying this!"It is not just sex to me Jake! I am going to lose my virginity to you because I love you not because I just want to get fucked by you! I cannot believe you right now and I know you finding out about your true history still bothers you. Why are you hiding that Jake, talk to me baby, "I practically pleaded with him but what he did next infuriated me to the bone.

He got up the bed not bothering to cover his very naked body," I don't want to talk about this anymore. We are going to mate when the time comes whether you want to or not its the wolf way. I really don't want you constantly reminding me of my dark past or my dead evil bastard brother. So just stop with all that what's done is done." he said coldly walking away without even looking at me.

"Well Fuck you, Jake!" I screamed at him throwing a pillow at his back which sadly didn't even bother him because he just walked out of his bedroom naked.

I let my body fall back on the bed and screamed out my frustration into a pillow close by. Why was he being so odd about everything, why couldn't he just talk to me about what is bothering him so much? After everything we went through I just wanted us to talk about things, acting like everything was back to normal was just not right because obviously him being a royal changed everything which scared me a lot. We had to talk even if it meant me forcing him to talk.

I got up and dressed up in Jake's large white plain t-shirt and my green shorts. I didn't even bother looking for my bra which was somewhere in his room shredded to bits. I breathed in deep and followed his scent to his study-I was getting pretty good with my werewolf senses. I didn't bother knocking his door, I just walked in and found him sitting behind his desk reading something on his laptop screen. I noticed he had also changed into some grey sweatpants and a black Johnny Cash t-shirt.

"Budging into your Alpha's office is a punishable offence," he said plainly.

I rolled my eyes, "Well bite me."

He smirked, "Choose your words carefully...I just might take that offer."

"You know why I budged into your office so stop trying to change the topic."

"Oh, you mean how I am trying to avoid having to spank you after your little tantrum," he said raising an eyebrow at me.

I scoffed " You walked away from me while I was just trying to be a good mate by figuring out what's bothering you so much!"

"Maybe I just don't need your help or anyone's help, mate. Plus throwing a pillow at me and throwing abusive words at me-low blow mate. "he said still looking at his screen which was beginning to annoy me already.

I walked towards his desk and shut his laptop with a bit of too much force which i hadn't intended," This is exactly what I am talking about. Why are you acting so ignorant?"

I could see that Jake was beginning to lose his patience by the stone hard cold expression on his face. Even his grey eyes had gone a little dark "Well that was rude, why are you acting like a fucking brat. There's so much little bullshit I can tolerate from you Prisca, you are walking on a thin line right now."

"Oh, is that a threat from my mate?"I asked moving closer to him. I know I was taking this a bit too far but he was asking for it.

He stood up just to fully intimidate me with his very tall height and it was working, I felt like a flee in front of him waiting to be squashed. " Oh this is not a threat, I don't do threats what I just said is a fact and you need to stay out of my business," he said looking down at me like I was a real nuisance.

To say I was beyond hurt would be an understatement. So Jake didn't want my help, he didn't take our mating process as something intimate and as a process signifying our love. I didn't need anyone to tell me to walk out before the jerk throws more hurtful words my way. I shook my head slowly in disappointment and quickly started walking out.

"Prisca," Jake said when I reached the door and I stopped but I didn't look back- i didn't want to look at his stupid face right now.

I sighed"what?"

"I do love you," he said with a deep voice, I knew he loved me but he was still a jerk and an asshole. After he said that I didn't even reply him I just walked out and made sure to slam the door behind me.
