Refreshing and Original

"Greenwater has created a unique thriller that is so realistic it could be about your next door neighbors, or even yourself. Her main characters are so raw and real that you will feel like you know them. The original plot is presented in such a mysterious way that the reader can’t help but want to know more. The entire premise is intriguing and not one you’ve ever seen before. The prose and descriptions throughout are succinct and powerful. They set the mood for the story perfectly. Perhaps my favorite element thus far is the character, Simon. He is very endearing with his quirks and his genius. All in all, this is one I’d definitely pay for to see how it ends. Great work! "

Intriguing

"Three chapters in and I'm excited about this finely crafted start! The interactions between the siblings are fluid and natural; yet each has their distictive personalities evident in the text. The plot is intriguing and overall it smacks of a young Sherlock Holmes."

Excellent

"The blend of almost frighteningly close to home characters, realism and setting with the curiously macabre and exotic is a formula for captivation. The absence of sensationalism is refreshing. I look forward to future chapters."

Love it!

"I'm really enjoying this, and looking forward to more. Ellen and Simon make a good team, with a good dynamic. Also, I really want to know what's up with the reindeer heads. Simon should be a forensic entomologist when he grows up - he has a knack for it."

A great opening

"You've written it nicely. The mysteries of the policemen, Simon's unusual character, the difficult atmosphere of their home... you've got it all right. A new, intriguing idea about reindeer; I'm waiting to see what happens next."
