Chapter One: New Tale

On a cold night, Shade and his friend, Lia were taking a stroll in the city. Shade, a fourteen-year-old, has black hair and blue eyes, wears a dark jacket and gray pants and shoe. On the other hand, Lia, also a fourteen-year-old, has beautiful red eyes, silky black hair, wears a dark dress. It began to rain heavily after a few minutes strolling. “On the time like this, why does it have to rain!?” Shade yelled.

“Let go back,” Lia said as she looks at Shade. A stranger walked over to them. The stranger wore a police uniform, but he wasn’t a normal civilian. A dark crimson aura surrounded him.

“Who are you!?” Shade took a few steps forward, shouting. The policeman laughed.

“Me? How would you not know me? Oh right, she never told you,” The unknown stranger replied and grinned. “My name is Kaname, I’m Lia father. Shade, you are powerful and will just get stronger, so I’m killing you before you can interfere.” He grinned evilly, a massive dark crimson aura appeared around Kaname. Demonic deadly magic.

“Shade! Get away from him, you can’t handle him.” Lia warned Shade. Shade ignored the comment, instead preparing for battle by pulling out his shadow blade and shadow armor, then causing a dark aura around himself.

“You can’t escape destiny!!!” Kaname darted forward at Shade and with his tighten fist, he pivots his right leg, increasing his power of the rotating of his body. He landed an deadly punch on Shade’s face, disintegrating him.

Sudden blank darkness appeared around Shade. Things have gotten dead silent. Shade felt his body changing, and the agonizing pain that came with it. He white skin began to shatter like a broken diamond and fragments of dark shadow began to bond onto him. His whole body were a shadow, he wasn’t human anymore.

“Promise you’ll survive.” A female voice pleaded calmly inside his head. Shade looks around as the world around began to change. He was in the middle of a grassland, next to him was a large tree, and farther away a gentle breeze were making the grass sway.

“Where am I? What happened to me!!!” He yelled. He quickly glanced around, while also being exhausted. He looks at his hand, which was pure darkness. He leaned back onto the tree, he was afraid of himself. What had he become? After looking around himself, he sat down leaning on the tree and fell asleep. It wasn’t very a long nap because someone woke him up.

“Hi there, shadow person.” A soft voice called him. He looked toward the female voice. It was a person. She had silky black hair, smooth white skin and a feathery pair of wings. Shade was surprised. He stood up quickly, almost stumbling backward, away from the winged human.

“Where am I? Who are you? What am I? Tell me?” Shade quickly asked with no hesitation.

“Calm down? Don’t worry, My name is Chondria Coal and you are in a land of Ufaro.” Chondria introduced herself also in attempt to help Shade.

“Oh. Right. . .” Shade murmured to himself. He glanced around the air, noting flying dragons and some floating islands. Chondria puts her right hand out, offering a handshake.

“So, what your name?” Chondria asked.

“I’m Shade. Oddly enough, I guess I died and became a shadow in this world.” Shade replied in sadness. The handshake stop and Chondria starts flying in mid-air.

“I forgot to tell you, I’m a Fleetwing. I’m a Fleetwing-human-hybrid. So tell me more about yourself.” Chondria introduced herself.

“I was once human, now I’m a shadow. Most likely I got killed. . .” Shade said trying not to lose control of himself. He tightened his fist and tried to create a shadow blade but it failed. “And seem to lost my shadow ability. Damn.” He continued. Chondria landed on the grass in front of him to observe him.

“Interesting. How odd. You are pretty much a faceless shadow.” Chondria explained. Shade looks at Chondria.

“Great, I’m a faceless shadow with no magic! I’m just useless now!” Shade yells, looking up at the air. Chondria pats Shade on the shoulder.

“Don’t say that, you might have a secret ability. If not, you wouldn’t be a shadow for now reason. Being an element creature.”

“Then, let’s unlock my ability and try to at least know the secret of the true reason I’m here!” Shade shouted in excited. Chondria was surprised that he was cheered up quick. A small whistle in the wind was heard. Chondria perked up, waving slightly to shade, then disappearing into the cloud cover. Shade sighed and then took a glanced around one more time. He saw a village far east from where he is. “Ah ha!” Shade laughed and began to run toward the village.

The village had a gigantic guild tavern and some houses. Some people carried supplies of dragon bone and other metal material. Navy blue cultists roamed around the village along with other traveler wield broadswords and crossbows. Few tamed wolves and cyan dragons followed a heavily metal armored adventurer.

After Shade made it to the village, he read the wooden sign before going in. It said, “Kiffel.” He went in and normally looked at other humans that were wearing leather and cloth. He looked at them, they looked back but seem to stay certain distance from him. Shade heard a very large crowd in building nearby. He ran inside that building, a huge guild of many different people. Hybrids, humanoids, animals, humans, spirits, and many usual people.
