Battle World Volume 1

Well, I have obtained a beta pass to the new video game hotness, Battle World. I had been on mailing lists in both email and paper forms. I had signed into the official Battleverse website every day for the past five years. Despite not seeing any screenshots, I knew that it would be my thing. I had only been able to sign up for one game at a time, so I decided to pick the first campaign called Battle World Gods’ War. I also signed up for the expensive limited edition game pack that gave me a lifetime membership to the servers. It only cost one-hundred and fifty dollars.

I spoke, “I have gotten my brother to build me the best computer I could get for my entire 10k inheritance. Team Battleverse has given me a 15k VR game setup to test the game out in their preferred format. Damn, I’m 25k in the hole already, so there is no going back now. I hope that it will be good, as I had to get a state of the art business internet to just download the damn thing at a whooping four-hundred gigabyte for the last three days.”

The download had neared its completion, as it was installing itself. The beta tester was eager to get started, while he was getting booted up into the VR game. He was now in the character customization screen which was surprisingly sparse. He had the choice of four races: human, elf, dwarf, goblin, an Orc.

“I want to be something tall, big, and strong. The dwarf is a mini men version of the avatar that I want. I wish that the race could be something more.

“I can use only one hour in the outside world while spending one-hundred hours in the game. I will go to the barbarian den to grind my skills beyond strong. I will be a two-handed weapon user, so I will practice my weapon skills for days. I have two days off in a row and all my errands are done for the week are completed.”

Gorgo had gone to the quest shop and spoke, “Can I get some quests for once?”

The old shop keeper spoke, “How many do you want?”

The orc-dwarf spoke, “All of them!”

The shopkeeper spoke, “If you had heard you right, you said that you wanted the entire one-hundred plus quest list?”

Gorgo spoke, “You’re right! Give it up, now! I’m ready to fight!”

The beta tester was given all the quest posters and he went on his way.

Only one day goes by and Gorgo Orcborn has returned with a large carriage filled to the brim

with quest items.

The shopkeeper knew of his friend’s prowess, but it was another ballgame all together to see it up close. The quests made the player level up again.
