The Night Awaits You

She was grumbling to herself as she threw on her shoes. She had been studying for her finals when she felt like someone was watching her. She had quickly grabbed her coat, jacket and hat before putting her shoes on.

She threw a look over her shoulder towards her window, before grabbing her iPod and running out of her room. She didn't even bother to tell her mom as she was most likely passed out in the kitchen over a bottle of whiskey.

Walking out the door, she headed towards the woods surronding her house. She was trying to decided weither that was a stupid idea or not, she walked into the dark woods.

It was January, the perfect time for a walk, or at least, that's what she thought. But, not at eleven o'clock at night. She never liked leaving her house after nine thirty, which she knew was really lame.

It was odd for her to see snow falling from the sky in Flordia. It wasn't normal for her tiny city to be getting any snow. It got very cold by the part of the ocean she lived by.

She walked through the woods slowly, careful not to hit any trees. She decided it was too dark to see, so she grabbed her flashlight she kept on her person in case.

She turned it on, and was surprised by what she saw. Floating through the air, were black snow flakes. She reached out and let one fall on her hand. It immediatly burned her hand, but the cold burn, signafying that it was really, really cold.

She quickly pulled her hand back when she heard a branch snap. Her hair whipped around her head as her turned to see what happened.

She pointed her flashlight toward the sorce of the sound, but saw nothing. She then turned around and kept walking forward.

She continued to walk when she noticed something. The snowflakes were starting to form a shape.

She took a step closer to see what it was when all of a sudden, a screeching noise filled the air. The wind started to fill through the thick air. The sound got loud and the wind started for her. Her hair flew through the air. The snowflakes flew and threw themselves at her.

She opened her mouth to scream, but nothing came out.

She went to do something, but felt something wrap it's arms around her.

She turned her head to see a dark figure looming over her. She was looked to see that the figure was made up of the snowflakes.

A hand hovered over her face and landed near on her check. It slide over her skin, burning the flesh on her face.

You have done the unforgivable. You have betrayed our trust. You shall suffer for you sin. She heard the dark figure tell her before covering her mouth with one hand, most likely to stop her from screaming, and reached his other hand into her chest and she screamed into the figure's hand.

The hand gripped her heart and began pulling. She screamed in agony, but no sound was heard.

This continued until a red, beating object was held in front of her. There in front of her, was her beating heart. She screamed louder.

You will suffer the consequence for your actions.

She stiffened as the hand set the heart on the black, snowy ground and reached into her neck.

And he continued this process until she could last any longer.

"WHAT DID I DO?" She screamed into the hand.

You betrayed our trust. You have -

Suddenly, her eyes burst open. It was all a dream. All of it, a dream.

Then, she heard her phone ring. She slowly picked up her phone and read the text.

You have done the worst thing you could do to us! You betrayed our trust! You will now suffer for you betrayal!

She read and she froze. She was confused. What does that mean?

She looked at her alarm clock to see how much time she had before school. Ten minutes. She quickly got ready before driving to school.

As she got to school and drove into the parking lot, she noticed something was off. There was black snow surronding the school like in her dream.

She got out of the car and walked into the school.

"Eliza Gray! What are you doing here? After all that?" she heard being called.

She turned around at the sound of her name and saw the priniciple walking, no strutting, down the hall.

"You have been expelled," the woman said and Eliza looked at her in surprise.

"What did I do?" she asked and the woman gave her a hard look.

"We must never speak of it," she spoke sharply.

Eliza went to say something when she noticed something. On a locker, was a shrine, talking about how someone will be missed.

Pointing to the locker, she looked at the principle.

"What?" she asked, having a surprising hard time forming a sentence.

"That, is why you are expelled. You murdered a student in front of everyone. You-" she began to say, but was interupted by the sound of feet stomping on the ground.

"You'll pay for this!" Eliza heard and turned around.

Coming towards her, was almost every student running.

She turned around, ready to run, but saw a little black snow flake falling in front of her.

"What?" she asked before being knocked over.

She was being kicked, punch, spit on and more. She felt her pulse slowling and she was beginnning to worry.

Was she dying?

Before blacking out, she saw the black, snow monster appear behind the group of students, and it gave a malevolent smile to Eliza.
