greyscale world
There is a tightness in my chest
and my breath quickens.
I watch as color begins to drain
and fade from all around me.
The bright sky blues and sunshine yellows dim
I reach for what little color is left in an attempt to find comfort
but am only left watching the greens seep through my fingers.
Now everything is greyscale and my once bright colorful world is unrecognizable once again.
I feel as if a part of me is missing;
now all I'm left with is this feeling of hopelessness and grief for what I once had.
There is an ache in my chest as I look at the darkness that surrounds me
I'm lost as I search for paint
and work towards bringing color to my world again.
