"Shut uuuuuuup" I groaned as I grabbed my alarm clock and tossed it across my room. It's currently six in the morning and I have to be at work in an hour. I stretched my body, earning a chorus of pops from my joints. You know, you would probably sleep better if you just bought a new mattress. Sarai, my wolf giggled in my mind. I smiled knowing she was right.

"Well time to get ready I guess." I mumbled out as I grabbed my red scrubs from the closet and jumped in the shower. It only took twenty minutes considering I washed my hair last night after having a puppy spit his dewormer all over it. After my shower I threw my hair into a low ponytail not really wanting to do too much today.

I grabbed my keys and an apple as I headed out the door. I took a deep breath savoring the sweet pine scent that surrounded me. The sky was overcast and made my small town of Swallow Springs appear softer as the threat of a rain storm lingering and exciting my soul. The traffic was at a minimal and I made it to my clinic with much time to spear. I'm the lead Vet Tech of the Pet and Co store and animal clinic, I've been here since the store opened back in 2015.

Let's go for a run after work! The rain is going to feel amazing! Sarai chirped making me smile. Nothing beats a run in the rain.

From Bri CM- Just a heads up your alpha will be stopping by for a meeting with me, you and Micah.

I looked at the text from my Clinic Manager Bri. I couldn't help but wonder what Alpha Luciano could want with the three of us. Sure he was the owner of the company but the clinic has been doing phenomenally. It's brought in twice the revenue as the store in the past three years. Maybe he's deciding to expand the practice or extending the hours. I let my mind wander as I entered the store.

"Good morning Ms. Dalis" Parker yawned. He's the only human, besides Bri, who works in the store even though the human world and werewolf world lives in harmony, he was the only one who seemed to want to work in sales here.

"Parker how many times do I have to tell you to call me Luna?" I smiled at him.

"A lot. It's weird to call you Luna when you aren't the Luna of your pack." He laughed in response. He was right though. A lot of my friends call me Moony out of respect for our future Luna. Alpha Luciano hasn't found her yet but when he does I'm sure it would be weird for her to know that he works with someone named Luna.

As I entered the clinic I did my rounds and checked on all our over night patients. We had a couple of dogs staying since they had surgery others were strays that were left in our care until they could be fostered and adopted out. I would have to say this was my favorite part of the day. I enjoyed making sure everyone had what they needed and got all the attention I could give them. As I finished up, I couldn't help but think about what the Alpha could possibly want.

Alpha Luciano

"Did you inform the human that I will be coming to meet with her and those omegas?" I stared down at the document in front of me as my assistant, Marcus, went over the plans for my day. I was scheduled to talk to the clinic manager and leads to inform them of the clinics closure. I knew the clinic was doing well, but I wasn't enjoying the idea of serving humans and their domesticated pets. I'd rather my pack members spend their time doing something for the pack, like watching the children or tending to the elderly. Anything dignifying!

"And you're lost in your thoughts again not paying any attention to what I said. ALPHA LUCIANO!" I looked up stunned at his sudden yell.

"Listen I might be your assistant but I'm also your cousin and can walk away from this at any second and let you drown."

"But you adore me so you won't." I couldn't help but laugh at the glare that he gave me.

"Whatever, anyway as I was saying. Yes I informed Ms. Brielle that you will be stopping by after the clinic closes at 4pm today."

I waved my hand in a manor to dismiss him. As he walked out of the office, my father stepped in.

“Son are you really goi-“

“No father I am not having this conversation with you again. I will not let my pack members serve the humans. For generations they hunted us down, killed our kind, and even attempted to frighten their children with stories about ‘a horrid beast who sheds blood for sport’ we will not serve them by tending to their pets. The veterinary assistants could go back to school and become nurses if they want to tend to wounded and sick.”

My father looked at me disappointedly. His grey eyes clouded over as he mind linked someone- my mother more than likely. He stood up straight and walked out. My father valued the relationship that the humans and weres have created. He believes it’s one that will come in hand and should be cherished. And sure, that relationship took a while to come around and should be upheld but it should not mean that the omegas of the Ocean Moon pack should cater to them. I will not allow it. I am most certainly not the only one who feels this way. Many nearby alphas share my thoughts and feelings on the subject.

I pinched the bridge of my nose in attempt to stop stressing and angering myself over the topic again. I decided the best thing for me to do right now was to simply focus on my paperwork. It's all I could really do until my meeting with my omegas and the human.
