Three decisions

Hi! I am Laniah, the protagonist of this story. The time is ticking 4 pm now, and I am sitting in my office room, it can also be called my cabin, or with whatever names you would like to call it as. So, now, I am in my room, which is isolated a bit from the main building of my big bungalow house.

What am I doing here when all of my family members are down, preparing for a grand function? I have never seen such crowd in my house except on one day. And that was on my birthday.

Yes! Today… is my birthday. Till my last birthday, I was different and today, I feel completely different. Well! Many of my parent’s relatives and friends will arrive in couple of hours to present me with the fabulous gifts, but I don’t think those gifts will impress me because, I got my birthday present already.

I got the one astonishing present that I haven’t got all these years.

It was by 10 am today, the courier boy had delivered my birthday gift and I was overwhelmed when I got it.

It was a book. OMG! It was MY BOOK, the very first book that I authored.

I took my book and held it in my hands, fondly caressed it like a new born baby. My tear dams got opened when I flipped the pages and the next instant; I buried my face into my book and inhaled the essence deeper into me.

When I popped my head up from the book, I looked around to share my boundless joy with someone. But there were no one. Of course, the hall was filled with massive number of people, but they didn’t even seem to care about what the courier was.

They just kept on decorating the home with daisy flowers like it was my marriage. Even if I bring a thief into the house they won’t care.

I then looked for my parents, but they had gone out to invite the crowd to the party.

I sighed with frustration and rushed to my room, the one called as office room. This room became my office room since the moment I started to write this book. I sat there just staring at my book.

From morning 10, till now, I am sitting here in the chair, skipping the lunch, still looking at my book, admiring it in every possible way.

Still there are two more hours for the party and before that, I think I can narrate the story of this book, which is none other than my story.

So, I am going to take you, readers, through the journey of this book. If you feel, I am complicating things, just take it light and bear with me. Hope you will travel with me till the end.
