Dramatis Personae
Children
Aurelia
She is the only the pure Italian. Her skin is pearl dyed with a bit of red. Her eyes resemble a dried rose.
With her, a special case of ‘dementia praecox’ was held. Her decisions gives her status of an age older than her true one. She sees the world as it is rather than how she wished it would be. For her, death is the only salvation.
Lenore
A lass with smiles like a pink tulip and nobody ever forgets that she always wear the same pink tulip smile.
She always coats her words with sugar and honey for the reason may be that she has a knack for reading the bible. She perceives herself as a ‘gift from above’ which leads her to great sense of importance and positivity.
Winston
He possesses a hair like a brush dipped on yellow paint. His nationality is halved, spanish and american, same can be said with his brother, Daniel.
He is not alligned with the common age of twelve and eleven but this doesn't make him less mature. In fact, he's the most loyal child the orphanage can offer. He learned loyalty before he learned learning.
Cora
Her mind and body is like a cloud, easily shaped by the push of the wind. But she could bring down storms and thunders.
Cora isn’t a child anymore. She's sickened by the mind-numbing life in the mansion. Her master plan is simple; she knows why her parents died, leave the orphanage and report the killers to authorities which she suspects the nuns.
Heather
She is mathematically precise. Her eyes are enviously and secretly observing behind her thick eyeglasses. She's a bit blubbery that's why she's sometimes insecure. To wreak vehemence to her betrayer, Aurelia, would mean the treasure for her.
Liza
Her beauty is black. Her hair has tight curls and her discontentment is shown on her defying lips.
Liza is not her own world-maker. She relies on someone else to keep her in company. Only standing for herself could be the greatest love she'll show to herself.
Daniel
The elder brother of Winston.
He abhors his own brother despite that he's a generous and friendly person. He still reminds hinself about the family he had which is sometimes, he is regarded to be sad.
Seocann
His skin is pale and full of scars. His hair can be sometimes the bristles of an overused brush. He's pale but strong.
Plucked from obscuriy, this child behaves quite odd. He favors the dark, solitariness, and secrecy. He'd rather talk to the mirror than to someone else's face.
Colton
This tiny devil loves to pester his peers and even those older than him. He's just a spoiled brat with a dead rich father and a group who wants candy.
Sabella
Her face may seem like a masterpiece crafted by a famous painter, but what lies inside her is more ugly than the drawing of a four-year-old. Sabella is self-centered and all she thought was she would be the first and the last one that could be adopted, thinking that her beauty bribed childless couples. She's wrong. She's a bad apple.
Rie
Rie, incorrectly nurtured child, grew upset with her family being a broken one. She always kept her hair hanging loosely to hide the boiling feeling of defeat sketched on her features.
Jane
Her hair is tied but the beast within her is always free. That's why she's always in command besides the fact that she stood the oldest amongst the orphans.
Jane has a kind heart before. Abruptly, her reasons goes unknown and she began to belittle those she can squish with her foot.
Pet
Fiorre
The cat.
Adults
Sarah
Her lack of emotion or void of any sort of mannerism entitles her to be the oddball in the orphanage. Nevertheless, she helps with the chores of the house as well as taking care a baby that the nuns were hiding from the other children.
Dr. John Kendlewick
He symbolizes mastery of health. The visitations he provides are slim. It is no question that he is a busy man with his efforts to attend to his nichè, charity events and other bussiness stuff a child is too young to understand.
He's a new adult whom studied psychology and human anatomy two years ago. He always arrives at the orphanage with a handful of gifts.
Sister Marie
She's a very kind nun. Her hands are open to those who needs her. She is only nun who fits perfectly with her nunnery status and with her gaze, alone, could purify her soul from her sins.
Sister Sani
The tallest being who stood on the orphanage. She's is an authoritative nun. Her fixed stares and disciplinary movements could be a sign for good leadership but sometimes, she goes overboard.
Sister Deborah
She's a type of person you'll see once a week on the same place you live in. She's meek, silent, slow-paced, full of furrows and mysterious. The facial mask that covers a moderate percent of her face is the only flamboyant thing about her.
Stranger
Abigail
Something is truly behind those gentle smiles and sparkling eyes. After all, she's a stranger and a latecomer. She arrived in a time when the events are already sketchy and bloody, hence she is stranger than all of them.
Hugo
A man of the fewest words. His body is built for woodcutting and miscellaneous utility. He decided to stayed in the orphanage because he just wants a roof over his head.
