This is why we don’t have nice things...like friends.
Spider has decided that he will never listen to his father again, this messy situation is all his fault anyway. Spider had never had any friends, and he was fine with this. Why wouldn’t he be fine? He liked being alone, reading and whatnot. His father had never agreed with Spider’s decision of solitude, so when he saw Little Miss Muffet sitting alone eating porridge he thought he would send his son to go and say hello. Which landed Spider in his current predicament, he was currently hiding under a dresser trying to find a way to get home without being seen and consequently crushed.
Spider hadn’t thought when he had walked over that was how his day, and very possibly his life, would end. It hadn’t even started out that bad, Spider had approached Little Miss Muffet in the most non-threatening way he possibly could. He had smiled, sat down next to her, took a deep breath.
“Hello, My name is Spi-”
“Eeeeek! A spider!” There was a loud crash as the dish she was eating out of crashed to the floor. Little Miss Muffet had jumped to her feet and was screaming and hopping about.
“I’m so so so sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you!” Spider apologized quickly as he stood and moved to clean up the spilt porridge bowl. That was when a rather large newspaper landed mere centimeters from his side,
“Begone foul creature!” Little Miss Muffet yelled as she raised the newspaper so she could attempt to crush him again. Thinking fast Spider quickly jumped to the floor and scuttled under a nearby dresser, he saw Little Miss Muffet run off to go and fetch her mother. This was going to be a long day, Spider thought mournfully as he watched Mrs. Muffet stomp past his hiding place.
