Prologue
April 27th, 2016
It was a sunny day when Wednesday's Misery arrived at the airport.
The four men came down their van and were instantly swarmed by fans. To say they were famous was an understatement. They were the most famous band at their time.
"Noah Lewis! Please take a picture with me," a blonde hair girl said to him. Noah just smiled and took it with her. The banter with their fans lasted for 5 minutes before they were rushed by their security guards to go inside the airport.
When Wednesday's Misery, or WM as fans called, first started. They didn't have many fans as they were now. They started playing for a crowd of 12 people but as times went by their fandom grew but it was still small. The boys, however, appreciate every single fan they had and wanted to do something special for their fans. One of them was to arrive everywhere earlier than their schedule so they can spare 15 minutes to talk with their fans.
It was a sweet gesture but as soon as their music career skyrocketed, this kind of thing was now hard to do. The 15 minutes with fans started to get shorter and shorter due to chaotic situations caused by their fans, Wednesday's Mania. People started shoving, screaming, crying, it was just sometimes too painful to watch. The boys had to keep their times short as they don't want any drama like last time.
"Sorry girls, we've got to go" Oliver Truman, the band's guitarist said as the guards started pushing the girls back to let the boys walked in the airport.
"No! Please just one more picture"
"I love you Ollie"
"Daniel Heart, you own my heart"
The girls kept on screaming as the boys walked inside the airport, got their tickets checked in, and into the waiting area.
"Hey guys, wanna get Starbucks?" The blonde hair bassist, Zachary Timothy or Zac, asked.
Everyone replied with a yeah and they went straight to Starbucks.
"Order me a coffee will ya," Noah said while heading straight to sit.
The boys returned with their drinks and were just sitting and talking. They usually waited in the VIP lounge area but sometimes they also wanted to hang out like other "normal people" in Starbucks which is far from what they were right now.
Out of nowhere two girls sat next to them. Noah noticed both of the girls, one with black colored hair and the other with brunette hair, were dragging a big suitcase with them. The black haired girl sat with their back facing the boys while the brown haired girl sat facing them but her view was covered by the black haired girl.
"Oh my God! Why are there so many people today? It was so hard to get inside this airport without people pushing me away!" The black hair girl said.
"Probably some celebrities are in here right now" Brown hair girl replied
"Oh my God! If they want my autograph, they could just have said so. No need to push me. This celebrity here could give her autograph free of charge."
The boys couldn't help but grin at the black haired girl word. The celebrities they were talking about were literally sitting next to them but none of them notice.
"Amelia, you are so cringy. Why are even friends again?" The brown haired girl facepalmed.
"So her name is Amelia," Noah thought
"But you love me" Amelia sang while slightly giggling
"Whatever! You can never be famous, A. You barely know anyone famous. How can you get scouted if there is no famous person you know! You know what they say, befriend with someone famous to get famous yourself,"
"There's no such saying Tori. Besides, I know my famous people! They are not just from this era,"
"Exactly, your so-called "celebrity" is not even from this century!"
"I know. I should have been born in the 1800," Amelia sighed while her friend laughed.
"I'm gonna get us some drinks first," Tori said while getting up.
Noah and the others couldn't help but laughed. They certainly didn't believe that this girl didn't know them. They were literally everywhere. There's not a day go by without them not making headlines, their songs not being played on radios, without them and their fans breaking the internet. So it was kind of hard to believe that this girl didn't know them. Surely at least she might have heard of them or recognize them even if it's just a slightest.
Zac, the most mischievous of all the band, came up with an idea.
"Hey, I heard about your problem. So you wanted to be famous?"
Amelia turned back around and saw them for the first time, four boys, no scratch that, they are definitely men, wearing black sunglasses indoor and were grinning on her.
"Um, I am not supposed to talk to strangers. Sorry." Amelia replied
"Wait, are you 15?" Zac asked back.
If there were one thing Amelia hated, it's people who assumed she looked younger than she was. She's 21 for God's sake! But thanks to her Asian genes, she was always going to be younger than her actual age.
"I am 21," She replied curtly.
"Great! So again, do you want to be famous?" Zac pressed.
"Not quite. Were you eavesdropping my conversation?"
"It's not technically eavesdropping. Let's just say we were tuning in,"
"It's basically eavesdropping and to answer your question, no, I don't want to be famous," Amelia rolled her eyes.
"Well, if you want to be famous, we could make you very very famous. You know what your friend says, befriend a famous person to be famous yourself," Zac snicker.
"Wait. Are you the famous one in here that causes the ruckus outside?" Amelia asked wide-eyed
"Well, as far as I know, there are no other artists than us today," Daniel chimed in
"Oh my God! I'm such an idiot. I just embarrassed myself, didn't I?" Amelia facepalmed.
"No need to worry. It's not everyday someone don't know about us," Zac snickered
Just as Amelia was going to reply, Tori walked back with two cups of green tea latte in her hands.
"Who are you talk -– Holy shit! Oh my God! You guys are Wednesday's Misery!" Tori screeched
"Yup, if Tori knows you, you guys are definitely famous," Amelia said
"Are you serious A! I sang their song all the time. Just so you guys know, I am a huge fan of your work," Tori said while turning her eyes from her friend to her idols.
"You want a picture with us?" Ollie finally talked.
"OH MY GOD! Please!" Tori screamed.
Tori put down the drink in her hand and grab her phone out of her back pocket.
"Amy, take the picture for me please," Tori said while handing her phone to Amelia.
Amelia sighed, took Tori's phone, and stand up. The boys and Tori were standing up and getting ready to pose with Amelia in the middle of the boys before Amelia took three pictures for them.
As soon as Amelia finished, Tori immediately turned her body to the boys and started talking to them. Amelia couldn't help but laugh at her excited friends.
"You don't want a picture with us?" Noah asked. To Amelia however, he was just another black haired guy.
"Nah, I'll pass. I don't really know you guys and won't you think it'll be better if you take pictures with your fans? Giving a free picture to me who don't recognize you guys is such a shame,"
Hearing her words genuinely shocked Noah. Most of the time, people would definitely not pass the chance to take pictures with celebrities even if they didn't know who they are. So they could post it online be a temporary hot topic among their friends. To hear that words from a girl with black hair, blue eyes, and plump lips intrigued Noah.
"Huh. Normally people wouldn't pass the chance to take pictures with us, you know?" Noah replied.
"How about this, since I haven't used "the chance" to take pictures with you guys. I am giving the chance to another person,"
"And how does that work?"Noah raised his eyebrow out of curiosity.
"When you boys are going to wrap up your whole taking pictures fiasco with your fans. Just take one more extra picture for your fans. Then we are all even,"
"And what if I don't do that?" Noah challenged.
"I just know you would do it,"
"What makes you think of that?"
"Call it a woman's intuition," Amelia shrugged.
Noah laughed and just shakes his head. Before he could reply, their manager, Owen Martin, came and called them.
"Sorry ladies, the lads have to leave now,"
"It's ok. We're about to leave too anyway," Amelia replied.
"Wait we are? We haven't even drunk our drinks," Tori replied
"Yes, we are Tori. We have to head to our gates," With that Tori only sighed.
"It was nice meeting you guys. Keep on being our mania," Ollie said while grabbing his stuff and Amelia could never cringe so bad.
The boys laughed while Noah looked at Amelia one last time. Noah would never be able to meet her again. What Noah didn't expect was for him to say this next line.
"It was nice meeting you, Amelia. A pretty name for a pretty soul," He said while winking at her and walked away.
Amelia was left stunned and could not help but blushed. She couldn't understand why the black haired guy would say that to her. Usually people would compliment her physical appearance but for him, a total stranger, to compliment her by her personality by only talking for less than 15 minutes was really heartwarming. Amelia had always been the type to hate compliments based on physical traits. So to hear people complimenting her for what she is was honestly joyous for her. Unfortunately, that didn't happen so often, especially when Amelia is on the pretty spectrum of appearance. People would mostly talk more about her physical attractions than what's on the inside of her.
"What the fuck was that? Noah's more on the quiet side you know. So, he doesn't really talk let alone compliment other people," Tori asked.
"I had no idea, Tori. Let's just go," Amelia said while grabbing their bags and luggage.
On the other side, the boys were also making fun of Noah.
"You have a pretty soul, beautiful," Zac mocked.
"Shut up Zac!" Noah laughed while shaking his head.
"What was that tho? I never heard you speak like that to a stranger and I'm your best friend for 8 years," Ollie asked.
"I don't know mate. She was just intriguing," Noah replied.
"Ooohhh, Noah got a crush," Zac mocked again.
"You should have asked for her number," Daniel chimed in.
"Nah man. I don't like her like that. She was — a breath of fresh air," Noah replied.
"You know it kinda gets a little bit frustrating when people just wanted to take pictures and pictures. The constant flashlights and screams. But she didn't even know us, man. It was kind of relieving to me," Noah replied.
"Besides, it's not like we are going to ever meet again. So let's just pretend that never happened," Noah continued.
The boys just sighed and headed to their VIP waiting lounge.
"You know what man if it's meant to be, it will be," Daniel laughed and patted Noah's shoulder.
"Yeah. I am sure of it," Noah grinned back to Daniel.
"Let's go boys! We have a concert to rock tonight," Noah said with his face facing forward.
