the sky the sound of which boomed off the earth with a loud resonance. His eyes that resembled dark clouds took in the dark stormy morning, the trees were swaying wildly and the temperature had gone down several degrees, the mansion felt cold and detached despite a state of art heating system. His lips were set in a thin line and the heavy stubble on his face showed the lack of grooming since the past few days, the skin under his cold and emotionless eyes was dark and he looked more mentally exhausted than physically.

The sun was not coming out today, not with the thick and majestic clouds ruling the sky this morning, the warriors had reported of the many uprooted trees in the forest; the storm had created a havoc.

His turned away from the large window of his room, his room spoke of his personality: the deep grey walls, the dark mahogany canopy bed with soft curtains and the underlying old school and traditional nature of interior decoration. The room was dangerous, eerie and unsettling for any outsider.

He brought the glass filled with auburn liquid to his lips and took a hearty sip, he let the liquid burn his throat; he tuned out all the sounds except for the constant beeping in the room.

He walked to his bed and saw the body of a barely alive girl plugged with machines, oxygen mask and tubes made to keep her alive, he observed her bandaged head, her plastered leg and her bruised face; anger coursed his body as he took in every inch of her bruised face, he gripped the glass tightly and didn't even flinch when it shattered into a million pieces. He closed his eyes and sighed, his anger had not cooled down, the rage inside of him was like the flickering fire of the fireplace in his room, he couldn't forget what happened to her, he would never forget.

A crisp knock on the door brought him back from his reverie.

"Come in," he whispered.

A moment later his Beta stood behind him, his face was stoic and he held a thick dossier in his arms. "The file on Jimmy Young," he said in a dark baritone.

Hades took the file from him.

"Luna Jimmy," he said with authority.

His Beta's eyes widened momentarily before he schooled his features.

"Congratulations," he said and walked out of the room.

Hades scoffed at his greeting.

Hades took slow strides to the leather sofa in front of the fireplace and lit a cigarette, he smoked a deep puff before releasing a relished exhale of smoke.

The thunder echoed in the mansion as he opened her file. The first page contained basic information about her.

Name : Jimmy Leah Young

Age : Eighteen years and one month Pack: Rudolph Pack.

E

thnicity: Half Korean and Half American.

He exhaled the smoke as he read through her details, the next page contained the details of her pack. She was an orphan for the past two years and her pack had perished three weeks back.

What he read next brought out his animalistic side which he suppressed with great force.

She was a half human and half wolf.

She was weak

Her medical records showed no previous illness except for a high probability of diabetes in the near future, she was advised to stay off sugar.

The doctor entered the room and Hades got from his seat. "When will she wake up? He asked gruffly.

"She is under a medically induced coma to reduce the swelling of her brain, her body is taking time to heel because of her diabetic condition, she happens to be pre-diabetic," the doctor explained.

Hades nodded and sat besides his mate on the bed. "When can we bring her out of the coma?"

"A week approximately, she should heal by then, her werewolf blood is making things slightly easier for her," the Doctor informed.

"What about the psychological effects of the trauma she faced?"

"We will have to wait till she wakes up, mostly if she is diagnosed with PTSD then there will be a different course of action," the doctor said.

Hades nodded and turned to her, he heard the doctor leave.

"You are already creating havoc in my life and you haven't even opened your eyes," he said coldly. "I never wanted you but you are here in my life," he snarled at her unconscious body.

She is our Mate Hades, don't be so harsh on her.

"Don't be a sap," he said.

You can't let your past dictate you Hades, she will be your strength.

Hades blocked his wolf.

He walked out of the room and to his office.

"I want the warriors to be in the field, we will train," he said to his Beta.

The Beta's face contorted into confusion but knowing from his previous experience he kept quiet.

"Ask away Jeremiah," Hades said gruffly.

"There is a heavy storm out side..."

"And I still want to train?" Hades finished his sentence.

Jeremiah nodded hesitantly.

"Attacks don't see the weather forecast Beta, my men should be prepared for the worst of the worst situations," he said coldly and walked out of the office.

"Arghh" Hades snarled with full force as he rolled a thick trunk that had fallen down.

He turned behind to see his warriors imitating his actions, they had decided to roll thick trunks, the motto was to strengthen their muscles naturally and to prepare them for sticky situations.

"Jeremiah do you have the axes ready?" He asked his Beta who was taking care of an uprooted tree. "Yes Alpha, they are ready," and with that he distributed the axes to the fifty warriors.

"I want you to chop up these wet logs, the size should be roughly eight to ten inches, we will then dry them up," Hades announced as he brought the axe down on the wood.

His muscles flexed as he brought down the axe on the wood with expertise and strength, after a while he went to one of the warriors and checked his position and grip.

"Your dominant hand should be towards the top, now weild the axe..." He instructed and then hummed in approval.

For the next four hours under the strong downpour he made his warriors train. "What does the weather forecast say about tomorrow?" He asked a warrior. "Same as today Alpha," he said in a firm and clear voice.

"Send the next fifty tomorrow," he instructed and jogged towards his mansion. He entered his office and immediately dialled up a number.

"Gamma Troy, has the shipment reached Brazil?" He asked.

"Yes Alpha, we have also received the payment for this one as well as what was due before," Troy explained.

"Did the coastguard pose any problem?" "They didn't dare,"

Hades smirked and hung up the phone.

He walked out of his office and into the beautiful corridor that was decorated with polished statues and expensive art, his feet left a muddy trail on the sparkling marble floors and he turned into a hallway and climbed the stairs to his room.

He walked inside and looked at his Mate, he fought the urge to sit besides her and instead entered the bathroom. He discarded his clothes and stepped under the shower, with eyes closed he let the water cascade down his body.

He entered the dingy pack house and immediately he was met with a fragrant scent, his eyes rolled back and he released a loud possessive growl. Forgetting the war like situation he began following the scent, he climbed the stairs and came in front of door from which the scent was emanating, his heart soared with delight and he opened the door.

What he saw made his blood boil, on floor lay his mate, her face bruised, bloodied and unrecognizable; her small body looked mangled and a man straddled her thighs as he began unzipping her pants.

Hades saw red, he released a loud snarl and the Man's head snapped towards him, his eyes widened in shock and he scrambled of his Mate's body.

"Matthias," Alpha Hades roared in one swift moved he was in front of him and in the second moment Matthias' head was rolling on the floor.

Breathing strongly he picked up the body of his Mate and with the coldest expression in his eyes he walked out...

His eyes opened and he looked down at his hands, his nails had converted into claws and dug into his palms, the water was red due to the blood pouring from his palms.

He walked out of the bathroom and slipped into a pair of pajamas , they hung low on his hips.

He looked at his Mate's comatose body. He walked to the bed and sat besides her, he buried his face in her neck and inhaled deeply.

Her scent of a beautiful spring orchid filled his nose and he sighed with pleasure, unconsciously his fangs extended and he gently grazed them on the skin covering her jugular.

The urge to mark her was strong but it was not the full moon. "Mine," he whispered.
