Prologue

In the hidden village of Fierda, there was a woman named Wanda who became interested in learning witchcraft. She became fascinated how magic can be controlled with just a snap.

She started to do enchantments and spells that no normal sorcerer can do. Greed led her to make a very powerful weapon, the Witchcraft's Stone; dangerous yet intriguing. She wanted to learn more about the stone yet later on realizes the danger it contained and if the stone was to fall into the wrong hands, it will bring conflict against the Muggle world. It needed to vanish to a place where no one will able to grasp it but no matter what spell she uses, it always ends up failing. As if the stone has its own protective spell around it. All magic has a consequence, and this was hers, It's her responsility now. The future of the Underworld depends on her hands. She chants some spells to the stone that if anyone were to get ahold of it, a task needs to be done. Wanda put it in a magical box and hid it where feral monsters were there to protect it. Looking for the stone will be an idiotic thing to do.

Rogues, werewolves who were insubordinate to their pack before, knew the power Wanda possessed so they watched her every action and waited for the perfect moment to attack. The messenger of the Rogues, Rózo reports to his alpha, the leader of the Anima Mea pack, of what's happening to Wanda every now and then.

The Rogues surrounded Wanda's house and waited till she was sound asleep. They quietly went inside and kidnapped Wanda.

Alpha Málik was now grinning because his plans were near to completion. All he needed was a blood of a traitor and they're done. Anytime now, Harris will do his part. Unlike the others, he was a human, a weakling to be exact. 'If a wolf is truly part of the pack, it won't betray us but Harris is different, I don't consider him to be part of my pack. A mere human can't be considered part of my creations. Never.' Málik thought while grasping his palms till they turned white. A dangerous smirk was plastered in his face.

Harris, a human slave of the Anima Mea pack strongly opposed to the idea of hurting Wanda, an innocent person. He secretly sneaked inside the dungeon to atleast see the witch everyone was talking about. He slowly walked towards the cell where Wanda stayed unconcious. The light from the moon was reflected on the face of a woman he'd never seen before. The woman was breathtaking that it made his breath stop and the only thing he can hear was the loud beating of his heart.

Cautiously, he walked near the cell of the woman but quickly hid when he heard voices near him. "The power of the witch is more important than the beauty she possess. Wanda will be sacrificed, this midnight, our alpha will be the one extracting the power in her heart." The voices seem to go away and silence surrounded him.

'So her name is Wanda. Beautiful like a flower..' Harris thought.

Wanda's eyes started to flutter open and he was again mesmerized by her forest green eyes, like it was looking inside his soul. She knitted her eyebrows as if trying to remember what happened. I was able to look at her face carefully, her heart-shaped face, that cute small nose, her red lips that I just want to go near and kiss it, her long and curly burgundy hair and her high cheekbones that makes her attractive. I can look at her face everyday and I won't get tired.

"This is a lair of rogues, what is a mere human like you doing here?" I didn't answer for a second so she started struggling against the cuffs creating noises.

'Shit!' Harris thought. Feeling nervous that someone might hear what's happening inside the dungeon.

"Calm down. I will explain later, but I need you to pretend that you're asleep. I will ask help from someone I know that's part of the Guardians Council." He said quickly. He needs to hurry up before others notice that he's gone. He started to walk away but stopped when Wanda spoke.

"What's your name? I can't just trust a nameless person." Harris smiled and replied, "Harris." Then left the dungeon.

...

Harris secretly contacted the Guardians Council and informed them about the Forbidden Holy Ritual, that will occur after the full moon has risen. He started putting things inside his bag, clothes for a couple of days. He brought extra pairs for Wanda, he plans to run away with her after the Guardians interfere.

After a few minutes, the full moon will rise which means the ritual will start. Drums are now playing, members of the pack started to sit in front of the stage where the ritual will occur.

Málik knew what will happened so he made a deal with a Sangre, a fairy, to make a barrier where no Guardians can interfere the Holy ritual.

While the alpha was busy talking to his pack, Harris walked slowly to Wanda, cautiously not getting noticed from the guards. He started to untie the rope around her wrists. He injected a enérgia serum that will give her energy to escape.

The witch's eyes flutter open and she nods at Harris who also did the same. He walked away and readied himself incase a malfunction of the plan happens. Its now or never.

Anger flooded Wanda's mind as her eyes scanned the whole crowd. Fire bursted through her palms and she threateningly held it in front of the pack. Her eyes glowed light green which meant she's using her magic.

"This is beyond the pale! After the fact that you betrayed your own kin,

you shall suffer the consequences that you've brought unto yourself. I shall bring misfortune to those who don't act accordingly to the law. How unfortunate of me to say this but greed is the root of this evil thus in perpetuity, you will live with a curse that no one can change or destroy. It will continue generation after generation." She ushered for the alpha to come near. When he did not do what she asked to, she manipulated the alpha's body and in no time, he was in front of the witch.

"An eye for an eye. You shall pay the price." Wanda states in a low but threatening voice. She grabbed his neck forcefully then twisted until a crack was heard. The alpha's body fell on the floor, dead.

"Let this be a lesson for all." She chanted spell until her body glowed brightly and suddenly disappeared. A white feather floated in the air, Harris took it and ran while everyone was still busy panicking. What happened earlier was unexpected, but he needs to get away fast. Little did he know, the feather was the witch's heart.

Loved, Loudly

Merrell Bunting: Well written, kind of quiet story, I enjoyed it. I am still a bit perplexed over whether this was a second chance mating story with choosing or completely a chosen mate story. If it is a chosen mate tale it leaves one a bit worried about a fated mate showing up. Either way it was a nice read.
