Why?

Thud! I closed my front door behind me after a long day at school. It was weird though because my mom was generally in the living room. So I checked her bedroom-still nothing. Mind you I don't get home tell late on Mondays because I stay and work on home work and then I got to the shop and tend to my beautiful dark blue mat 1968 doge charger. Being hungry I make myself a turkey, cheese, and lettuce sandwich for dinner and watch TV. It's now 6pm and I don't know we're my mom is so, finally, I call her. No answer. Again. No answer. One last time! No answer!

I am actually worried now so I do the only thing that makes sense. I call my private investigator sherry. Who also happens to be our lawyer and my Guardian ad litem.

Phone call:

Sherry-"Roe for the last time I can not investigate your teacher because she gave you an-"

Me-" sherry my mom hasn't been home all night and her car is still here please come over asap!"

10 minutes and a knock at the door later...

"Roe tell me exactly what happened to night." Said Sherry calm as always.

" I came home made a sandwich, watched TV, and then called her 3 times with no answer!" I exclaimed rapidly scarred for once in my life.

"Got it. Have you tried calling anyone else?" Sherry questioned.

"No" I said simply.

"How 'bout we do that." She said reassuringly.

"OK I'll go get the phone book." I said naturally. (Ps. My mom has a phone book with everyone in my family in it.) And guess what... nobody freaking answered! So her I am freaking out because now here's Sherry filing 38 missing person reports in the early hours of the morning because, as it turns any family that I knew of or that knew of me have all been missing for 2 days! My mom was just the last freaking one!

Now it's 7am and I have actually been pacing for 2 hours straight. When finally...

"Honey sit down." Sherry says calmly motioning to the spot next to her on the couch. I sit.

"What are we gonna do?" I ask nearly my throat wanting to let out a sob.

" well do you have a friend perhaps you could stay with?" Sherry asks carefully knowing my state of shock.

" Naomi." I say quickly not want to go anywhere else.

"Go ahead and give her a call." Says sherry half smiling.

3 rings later...

"Hello?" Says my puzzled friend.

" Naomi where Is your mom it a real emergency." I say focus on talking to her mom.

"One sec." Says Naomi now some what awake.

"Hello is everything okay hon?" I finally let out a sob. Sherry then takes my phone and in the next hour I am packing a suite case. Consisting of 3 outfits, 2 pairs of pj's, my phone, a book, and my phone charger.

Sherry says she hired a moving crew to go to my mom's house and pack my stuff and my dad's house and pack my stuff. She said that they would be to Wisconsin about 3 days after I got there.

*Now it's probably time you know I am currently in Michigan because that's were my mom lives. But the rest of my family is in Wisconsin.*

Sherry and I are now driving to the airport. And I am slightly worried because I have never flown before. But, thankfully I made it thought the short flight. Now Sherry and I are now taking a cab all the way from Chicago airport to Brandon, Wisconsin. Sarcastic yay!

2 hours later we arrive at my friends house. I am overwhelmed with sadness not because I don't want to be there but because of why I’m there. I somber over to the door and because I am hesitant sherry knocks for me. Mind you the sun is a little past set and it's a little cold so honestly I am glade she does.

1 minute later...

Sandy, Naomi's mom engulfs me in a nice long hug and whispers softly in my ear. " Go up by Naomi she is expecting you." I walk past her and enter there enormous house I go up about 5 steps into the kitchen make a right into the living room/ dinning room. Then another right reaching the stairs.

Once upstairs, I go down the hall to left just slightly and walk into my friend Naomi's fairly large room, past her gigantic bean bag to her bed where she is sitting. She stands up and without speaking raps me in what is a slightly painful hug and finally let's go so I can breath.

"Hey... where do you Wanna sleep tonight until your stuff gets here we don't have any fosters with us and you can sleep in either the room across from me or the one down the hall." She says half sympathetically half curious.

"God I love you." I half smile and hug her for what feels like ages.
