Great story.
"Reading the prologue and first bit of the chapter. I thought at first I may be reading a diary of the MC, though not much so as I continue on. The story is easy to follow along and understand and I didn’t know what to expect from a story with the word “Bootlegger” in the title, as I didn't know much about them. I laughed a little when I found out that the MC's Dad was referred to as "Sweetie". As for the MC I was expecting her to be a somewhat maybe polite and reserve kind of girl. I was surprised that she had humour and able to laugh things off with anything concerning trouble. I don't know much about the plot or were it was heading, but reading the six chapters I found myself quite immersed and did enjoy it all the way though. This has the potential of being a great story and good job to the writer, it really is good. "

"I think you really bring out the voice of your main character with this style of writing. Once you get used to it, it reads like a real diary. In the first 4 chapters there's still not much yet of a plot, but with the hint at the beginning, that this is going to be about the worst day in sb's life, it makes it quite intriguing. Your descriptions and especially the dialogues reflect really well the world at that time or at least it gave that feel to me. You characterisation is quite superb. Perhaps my only preference would be a bit of a quicker pace and when explaining to go with less detail, although on the other hand, that would certainly take away from that particular voice of your character. In overall i think it's a very good story. It's interesting, original and well written. I wish you good luck with it!"

"It's a different perspective of writing. But it really fits the story! You get to know alot about the character in the first two chapters, and about her relatives. It's not boring, which is good. It's a nice little start for the story! The way the second chapter ends brings alot of mystery. Only thing that really let it down much the excessive talking about herself in chapter one. Maybe it was a prologue I forgot. But it didnt feel like a chapter. It felt like a get to know you. Would love if you could slowly ease this into the story!"
