“What kind of woman, a single woman, lives by herself without a security system?” Luca asked himself, scratching his head. He knew Khalil had told him about her spare key, and he found it odd that she didn’t give him a security code. Adele seemed like a smart woman, but living without a security system as a young woman was the wrong move. Anyone could walk into her home without her hold... almost how he did. It made no sense to him, and still he waited. Luca waited a whole hour for Adele to come home.

Apparently, she got off at seven, and currently, it was eight-fifteen. She didn’t live that far from the hospital, which made Luca worry. Khalil had warned her friend until he saw her car pull up outside her home. Quickly Luca ran to the hallway, hoping she didn’t see his car parked outside until he heard her unlock the front door. Seconds later, her sexy voice rang throughout the house. At first, Luca thought she was on her phone then he realized she was speaking to herself.

“Damn, I really need to get a dog. Coming home to just me isn’t cutting it anymore— yeah, a dog sounds good. Maybe I’ll big something big or a Frenchie.” She spoke, making Luca chuckle to himself. He could hold back. He had to speak. “Do you always talk to yourself, Kleine?” He questioned from the dark hallway.

Quickly Adele stopped in her tracks. She didn’t give him time to show his face as she swiftly ran for the front door. He had to hand it to her, and besides screaming, she dropped everything and ran. It was a nice try, but Luca grabbed her by the waist and then the hair as he whispered in her ear before she could open the door.

“I said you would see me again, Schatz. Although this time, you won’t be getting away.” He laughed before banging her head against the door, knocking her out. This wasn’t his plan, but as always, Erik was never on time.

“Du gehörst jetzt zu mir.” (You’re mine now) He whispered in her ear as he picked her up, carrying her to the couch.
