Spirit of Love
Come to me my fairy king, come what may
Bring to me my fairy ring, bring it today
I am love’s own gentle faun, bright and gay
I am the morning star song, up and away
Fire breathes from the dragon’s tongue, be not afraid
Rides the gallant prince along, through the everglade
Hear the chant of the mountain gnome, hear the ancient song
Working deep in their mountain home, proud and strong
Ferry me across the ocean, do boatman do
Enough have I the fairy notion, simple and true
Petal sails on leafen ships, poetry tells the fairy’s lips
Morning breath it rises and dips life into you
Drink and sup from the buttercup, morning dew
The Human Child is waking up, dream come true
Do you remember of your birth, morning dove?
Why you came here to this earth, spirit of love?
