There will be reporters here..” He trails off. “I should have never –“ He stops before he can finish his sentence. “Never what? Chapter 1

My name is Tessa O’Conner. y friends call me T for short, and I am 19 years old. My whole life I have always done what my parents have asked of me. I do my chores, I do my homework, and I have always eaten all my vegetables. You could call me a typical teenager, or a very responsible young adult. I call myself boring.

I don’t consider myself pretty; I’m not the bubbly personality that stands out in a crowd. I’m just average. Nothing spectacular ever happens to me, I’m not lucky, and people don’t look in my direction when I walk into a room.

I expected this summer to be like every other summer, constantly working and keeping my head down while I wait to hear which University will have me for their Fall semester.

My summer was far from what I was planning. I was definitely not expecting this...
