Prologue
Once, there was a land full of royalty. Thousands upon thousands of royal families lived on this island. Even the poorest families had twenty or more servants under their jurisdiction.
Then the disease came. Fatal to wizards, it wiped out their entire race, save three.
The oldest wizard left, five-hundred-year-old Mustan, had moved himself and his twin teenage children far enough underground that the virus could not reach them. Their air supply was quickly depleting. Mustan hexed the virus, and it relinquished, but the effort cost him his life.
Little did the teenaged wizards know that the disease had cost the royals their royalty. The memories were the same, but everyone was an ordinary person King Fredrick the IV was simply Fred.
No one remembered their true identities, save the two young wizards…
