"I loved this story, surprise, truth, not written too much into details. There is room for one to two more books... 🙃😉😘 Only grammar or her/here, two/too is a bit bumpy, at times even confusing. I would love to read more. Have to go. Search for follow ups... 😄🙃😍"

"Wow! This was an amazing book, great writing and storytelling...I love how Amelia grew as a person and got herself into college without having to rely on anyone for money....shes a hero in my head. I wish u had continued the story tho it ended when it was grnf interesting....i was waiting for when she wud meet her motber and what she wud say to her...I kept hoping and praying that Mr Smith was maybe her father, or Maya or Iris wud somehow have links to her mother...something....overall, I loved the story....it was real. Well done Mariam...."

"I really think a story like this is lacking in society. This is a real story about real struggle and you don't see many of these around on both online reading sites and even in bookstores - at least when I've looked. I've really enjoyed the story so far and I know I'll continue reading until the end. There were some grammatical and punctuation errors. Good story so far! Keep writing!"

Good job!

" A very realistic portrayal of the struggles of an orphaned girl. Your writing was nice and there were only a few typos. The end was too good to be true, but fit well with the hopeful image the story portrayed. Good job!"

Lelia’s Hope is Our Hope!

" This review only pertains to the first two chapters of the novel. You don’t always get what you wish for ...” No one knows this better then Lelia; a girl who learns at an early age the cruel lesson of abandonment. It is a curse she has difficulty breaking. Her mother leaves her at an orphanage as a young baby and she never had the good fortune of being adopted unlike the other children. At the age of eighteen Lelia is forced out of the orphanage (the only home she ever knew) and must somehow learn to fend for herself without family or friends. Lelia quickly learns that life outside the orphanage is a sink or swim world. She attempts to drown herself in the ocean only to be saved at the last moment by a mysterious benefactor. Who is her savior? Perhaps future chapters will reveal more answers to this mystery. Lelia is easy to sympathize with. She seems to be innocent and helpless and as readers we hope along with her that life will get better. There does seem to be some potential for a better life for Lelia if Mr. Smith agrees to hire Lelia as a waitress. This was an enjoyable read with very few grammatical errors. Let’s hope all of Lelia’s dreams come true! "
