Summary

Zeinab, not your average eighteen year old girl with a wild mindset, no-nonsense attitude. She's known as the iron girl. Her life takes a 180 degrees turn when she met an arrogant rich guy called Trevor Hilton. Trevor sensed that there is more to Zeinab than meet the eyes. He thought that her behaviour has something to do with whatever that is hidden in her and vowed to make her open up. Will he succeed being the playboy he is?. What makes him want to make her open up? What will he do knowing that the girl he's developed feelings for loves someone else? ♡♡♡ PEEK 🙄 "I don't want you near that fucker, got it?" Stoneface yelled at the top of his lungs. A hint of anger clear in his eyes. "What the fucking hell makes you think you can decide who I hang out with and who I don't?" I yelled back. My head was still cloudy but not as bad as before. He doesn't know a thing about what's going on in my life this past two weeks. All he cares about is his stupid non-existent reasons that I shouldn't be around Jupiter. "Oww" I whimpered as he suddenly gripped my arm tightly and I felt pain shot through my entire body from his grip. He dragged me to his office. Slamming the door behind us, he pushed me against the wall with both hands caging me in. My anger plummeted instantly as I looked into his eyes. They turned dark that I almost didn't see the green colour in his eyes.

Chapter 1---- meeting the jerk

Zay's POV

I ran down the streets until I found a spot to hide. I hid behind the store making sure he wouldn't find me as I tried to catch my breath. "Is the entire world after me?." I muttered to myself. Why wouldn't people just mind their own damn business and not try to cause trouble for others?

Just then I heard footsteps and tilted my head to have a better view from my angle and there he was, the guy following me. I don't know what he wants from me.

Why are you even running? it's not like he is after your life.

My inner voice reasoned but am not a fool to fall for that foolish voice. For all I know he could be a serial killer. He really do look like one.

I decided not to go hiding in the name of fear. Fear is never a part of my chapters in life. I moved a little out of my hiding spot and looked sideways to see whether he is still searching for me or gone. I sighed a sigh of relief when he is no where to be found.

I started walking in a low pace to my apartment when suddenly, a black limo pulled in front of me blocking my way. What the fuck? I should probably write 'trouble me' at my back so everyone who sees me will start troubling me. Yes, that way I wouldn't be bothered by their troubles.

I was waiting for the person to come out but he never did. The car has dark tinted glass windows that I couldn't see who was in there. Should I knock and ask him why he blocked my way or just walk away? I choose the latter.

I walked passed the car towards my apartment expecting him to stop me but he didn't. What a mysterious man, if he wasn't going to talk to me, why bother following me.

I got home and inserted my door key to unlock it but it was already opened. I smiled knowing who was in there.

I opened the door slowly to examine the room first in case it isn't the person I suspected was in there. Maybe a monster? That way I could turn on my heels without him noticing me. I pushed all thoughts to the back of my mind when I saw the person.

"What do you want?" I asked Jane who was sitting on my couch typing on her phone.

"Good to see you too." She said sarcastically with a suspicious look on her face. She kept staring at me as if she was told I killed someone.

"What?" I snapped at her.

"What did you do this time?" doesn't she ever know how to shut her mouth?

"What do you mean?" I tried to play it off not liking how my friend could see through me every time.

" come on Zay, don't act like nothing happened. I know for a fact that something happened. For all I know you could have killed someone less than thirty minutes ago". She said with a fake troubled face.

"Well, thanks for reminding me that am a murderer." I retorted

I noticed she was curious to know what happened and knowing that she wouldn't rest until she hears it. I had no option than to tell her.

"On my way home, I passed by George's house. George wasn't at home and you know what that means." I lived with George since I was eight and whenever he's not home, there is always war between me and his daughter Alexa. We used to be close friends when we were younger but at the age of thirteen, she started hating me for no reason.

"What is the problem with her?" Jane asked

"I don't know. It's not like this is our first fight. This has been going on for five years, nothing new" I said looking at the picture frame on the wall. It's my mom's picture. The only thing I took with me that was her's.

"Why do I have the feeling that you are keeping something from me" Oh, Jane with her smartass suggestions.

"Fine, I will tell you everything." Where do I start? "There is this guy who got really drunk yesterday........" I trailed off. "I was ready to come home when my shift ended then I saw a guy stumbling. He was super drunk so I offered to help him stand on his feet and all of a sudden, he smacked my butt."

"So?"

"So I kicked him in the balls, what else?" I didn't want to tell Jane about that guy who keeps following around.

"Don't try to play games with me Zay, I know when you don't want to tell me something. It is better you tell me or we sit here till eternity." Jane sounded annoyed.

Ok... I kicked him in the balls and a gentle man appears from nowhere trying to act as a good Samaritan, he said I shouldn't have done that to the poor guy knowing that it's alcohol that made him do what he did blah...blah....blah.

"Ahh...well.. You see, another guy was trying to reason with me how I shouldn't have hit the poor guy and I got irritated and raised my voice at him. I think he is one of those arrogant egotistical guys who doesn't want to be disrespected by others. He looked really angry at me for raising my voice at him. The way he looked at me in pure rage, I was really scared for my own life so I did what came in mind first. I run and he followed me with his car." Now am wondering whether it was the same guy who followed me today as well.

"Well, that was yesterday right. Now tell me what happened today." Jane will never let it slide.

"A guy was chasing me all the way ho.....wait, was he chasing me? I don't think so. He was just staring at me in a weird way and I decided to ignore him. Then he started walking towards me and I started running again. I was able to get away from him but someone in a luxurious car approached me. I wonder if it is the same guy. He did not show me his face." I told Jane all that has been bothering me.

"Are you sure it is the same guy that was angry at you yesterday?" Jane asked with a look of concern.

"Not really. And if it's him, what do you think he will do to me with all this chase and catch thingy." I asked Jane.

"I don't know, how about you do this. Next time you see him, don't run away. That way we'll figure out what he wants." She reasoned.

"Ok" it makes sense so am in for it.

"I will take my leave now, you know, home work and stuff." Jane said as she stood up to leave.

_____________________________________________

I woke up to the rays of the sun beaming through the window. I looked at the wall clock and it was already 6:31am. I had to hurry up in order to get to work on time. I had to be at the hotel cafe at 7am sharp else I will lose my job.

It was a five minutes walk and I was glad that I didn't have to take the bus or taxi which would involve money. The day went by quickly and I had no problems except for the short tight skirt I was asked to wear and I almost fell down several times. We never wore those before and I wonder why they want us to wear those all of a sudden.Of course I didn't agree to wear it but it was either wear it or quit. So there, I had no choice but to wear it.

I was now on my way home singing but it wasn't a song. I was making up my own words, my voice a falsetto. I don't care though. It's my life and I will live it the way I want.

I didn't see the car that pulled beside, no... I saw it but I didn't pay attention to it until I heard a familiar voice. "Hey girl?." Wow, way to great someone.

I turned to see the same guy who follows me around like a puppy. Great, I felt like ripping that monster's hair off with that look on his face.

Wait, why did I call him a monster? I have no idea. It's not like he's scary or something....... whatever way he's still a monster for making someone else's business his. That doesn't even make sense, does it?.

"What do you want" I scowled and all he did was smirk at me. What a dork. Getting more irritated, I turned on my heels only for him to move infront of me blocking my way. It took everything in me not to whack him on the head.

Calm your nerves Zay, take a deep breath and stay calm. I told myself and took a long deep breath. I could feel my nerves relaxing. Good, this wasn't the time to be angry nor run away. I had to stand up for myself. Like I always do.

"I don't know what I want maybe it's you that I want?" He said with an evil grin plastered on his face.

Something awakened in me about what he said. He wants me? What does that supposed to mean?

"Are you a girl or a boy? You don't look like a girl to me." His voice was low. Almost a whisper. Why is he so calm now.

"I didn't say I was one." I retorted.

He still plastered that evil grin on his face looking me straight in the eyes. What the hell does he want from me?. It's not like he was the one I had the fight with.why can't he just leave me alone?

"You will not work at the hotel cafe anymore." He said as if it was his place to tell where I work and where not. How in holy hells name did he know where I work?

"Why"I asked with the same low voice.

"Because I said so" his voice was laced with confidence. Who does he think he is? My whole being started boiling with anger. I couldn't think straight. Not even George can tell me what to do with my life. I will work at the hotel cafe as long as I want to and nobody can change that.

"And who do you think you......" I turned to look at him but he wasn't there. He was gone. My head was clouded with thoughts that I didn't even realised he was gone.

I went home with this mystery guy planted firmly in my head.
