There's a chance that I'm not fully human. My name is Laurisle, Lore for short. When I was born doctors diagnosed me with a rare blood disease. If a new bacteria or germ gets into my blood stream my blood would become infected and I would die. Or so I thought...
I've always been careful about cuts and scrapes. But today I don't know what happened! I was at P.E class and we were running track, some kid ran up behind me, I tripped and my knee scraped against the pavement. Surprisingly it didn't hurt all. I glanced down at my knee, expecting to see blood and broken skin but instead of broken skin there was grayish, silver flesh almost like metal. But the most surprising thing was that there was no blood. I started counting down the time until I would die. My friend Briana came up behind me, took one look at my knee and dragged me over to the P.E. coach. Without hesitation, as if this was completely normal he sent us to the school nurses office. The nurse took one look at my knee and immediately called my Mother.
