Chapter 1
Miracle
Frantically washing dishes trying to get everything ready, so I can make sure the house is tidy until the next time I would be back, I felt someone enter the room. As I put the last dish away, a hand went over my eyes and another over mouth. I could hear a deep voice, "Shut your mouth, take your clothes off and get on the island" he said stern but calmly. Doing as I was told, I removed my pants and shirt, and slid onto the island.
He snatched my legs hard enough to make me lay all the way on my back. With a swift motion my underwear were being ripped off, and there was a breeze where my underwear once were. In an instant I felt a tongue lapping all over my clit. His hands were tugging on my bra, making a nipple reveal itself. Pinching my nipple and trying to suck my pussy dry, is making me so wet and I needed more. He lifted his head up and I could see the lust in his eyes as he was watching my body react to his love. "Turn over" he said licking his lips. I did as I am told. He positioned himself between my legs and in one thrust he was deep inside of me. "Oh yes! Don't stop!" I fake moaned, as I was sprawled all over the kitchen island, on my stomach, being stuffed full of this man's glory. His hands are holding me by my hips to make sure I couldn't run. With every thrust I was getting less and less impressed. I don't know what it was exactly, but this wasn't doing it for me. I think he noticed my lack of excitement.
He then turned me over and picked me up, carrying me to the dining room chair, I already knew what he wanted. I adjusted myself over his length, moaning as my lips kissed his tip. His member slid right in with no hesitation. I began to roll and rock my hips, the way I knew he couldn't resist but to cum. "Oh fuck Miracle", he growled over and over. I leaned back, giving him just enough room to play with my hot flesh between my legs. He knew this was the only way I was going to be able to cum with him. He placed his two most dominate fingers in his mouth for some moisture and began a consistent rhythm of pleasure.
I could feel my walls clenching around him and felt the urge to cum all over him. I felt his body become tense and I know he just released himself in me. I threw my head back and I rode out my own orgasms with him shivering underneath me. I collapsed on top of him, adjusting my eyesight, to see that it was 5:00am and I had to get going.
Six in the morning is just way too early to up on a Sunday. But I need to make it to the train station before I miss my train. Every week I would travel by train to come see my husband. Some weeks I would come visit for three days, and others would be for four days. It worked out like that because I have every other Friday off from work, so I maximized my time with him as much as I could. But these trips back and forth were starting to get annoying and too much to handle. My sleep schedule was just non-existent.
I knew it took at least an hour to get to the station, so I tried to wake up early and get ready. But he had other plans as usual, so I needed to wear the most comfortable thing possible. I slide on my favorite bright pink hoodie, with some very comfortable black leggings and a pair of black sneakers. Getting into the car, I looked at the time, and felt a sense of relief because I knew I could make it on time. The vibrations of the car were making me sleepy, and this outfit is comfortable enough to sleep right here and now. I could feel myself start to doze in and out. But knowing that this is the last hour I have here, and I'm trying my best to stay awake.
"Hey, you sleep?" said my husband, Kareem, making me jump and try to focus on him. Wiping my eyes because everything seemed so blurry, I felt bad for being tired.
" Oh no, sorry, I just got a little sleepy out of nowhere", I responded, knowing that the reason I was tired was because of him. He liked to keep me up all night. He has a very healthy sexual appetite, and when I was here with him, he made sure he ate every time he had the urge. Being that we only had a few days a week to be together, I just suffered through my tiredness.
"That's alright, but I need to talk to you about something before you go back" he said, not making any type of eye contact with me. He usually was a man of few words, so it comes as a surprise he actually wanted to talk about something. Usually, it was me trying to have heart felt conversations and him trying to avoid them. Kareem grew up in a very abusive environment, with his dad being a drunk and his mother condoning it. So, I understood why he kept so many things to himself. It was out of habit, so it caused me to wake up fast!
"Well, what is going on?" I said with a curious mind. Why is he just now mentioning that he wants to talk, when we just had four whole days to talk about anything he wanted.
"I don't know how to say this, but I think it is time I tell you about something going on, I mean it is only fair that you know, but it is hard to just say and..." He was stumbling over his words. I was trying to be patient and let him say whatever he needed in his own way, but I needed to know what was going on and he was taking way too long to spit it out!
The way he was jumbling his words let me know is was something serious. "WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY? JUST SAY IT" I spat, but instantly felt bad because it was my job as his wife to be caring and patient. I was doing neither of those in this moment.
"Miracle, there is someone else" he said with more of a whisper and not his usual tone." But before you start to go off the deep end for no reason, understand that you are my wife and nothing will change how I feel about you, but I need more, and I think this could work with us and me and her..." he was rambling on. The only thing I heard was there was someone else. Was I not enough? What was I doing wrong? Did he know how much I loved him? Did he know that there was nothing I wouldn't do to make him happy?
" Please just stop talking" I said trying to hold back the tears in my eyes. Thats when I noticed we had made it to the train station. There was a moment of relief that flooded over me. I needed to get away from him. So, with tears wailing up in my eyes, I opened the car door without even waiting for him to put it in park. I went to the trunk as fast as I could to grab my bag and headed towards the entrance.
I felt his presence behind me as I was walking as fast as my legs would go. "Miracle! Hey! Stop babe, please!" He was shouting, as I was practically jogging away from him, and him not too far behind, doing the same.
I was immediately regretting not paying for my ticket beforehand, because now I have to stop. Giving him the exact moment, he wanted to have in the car.
"This is why I didn't want to tell you; I knew you would overreact. You haven't even let me explain what is going on before you ran away". He said in a calm voice, hoping no one was listening to our conversation. I just looked at him confused, so he kept talking. "Look, your gone a lot and I needed someone to be here for me, so it started with a meaningless conversation in a chat room... And then we met up and it just happened. But I don't want to have her without you! But I think this can work!"
"I'm gone a lot...? As if it was my choice for you to up and leave our home! You left! NOT ME!" with a shake voice, I was shouting trying not to let him see me cry.
I had no more words left for him, so I took my ticket from the machine, gathered my bags, and tried to burn a whole through his head with my gaze, and began walking to my train. In the distance I heard him yell, " Call me when you get home! Love you, babe." I just boarded my train, picked a seat and closed my eyes.
Finally, the train was coming into the station. After a four-hour ride, with two transfers in between, I am exhausted. I am on my way back home from visiting with my so-called husband. My mother now lives in my home because she was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer, and I usually go back and forth to make sure I see Kareem and to make sure my mother is taken care of. It definitely put a strain on me, but I love them both, so I make it work.
As soon as the doors opened, I stepped off the train and was on my way to catch a taxi. It is a beautiful day, the skies are blue, and the air is crisp. It is exactly ten in the morning and with two suitcases, I have the sense of determination to get home. Pushing through the crowds, I finally reach the front of the station, and I stood on the curb looking at the oncoming taxis. One stopped right in front of me, and I am greeted by an older man. He helped with my bags and off we went towards my home.
Staring out of the window, the thought of Kareem's last words were racing through my mind. I felt like the worst wife, how could I have left him alone to make him feel like he needed someone else.
That thought quickly left me, when I remembered, it was not my idea to move to another city for a pipe dream. Kareem had this dream of starting his own hot wing business, but for some reason couldn't do it where we already lived. So, he talked me into selling the house and moving, but that was before I found out my mother was sick. I told him we shouldn't leave, and he went on without me anyway.
Tears began to flood my eyes once more when my phone rang. It startled me a bit making me jump. I rushed to look at the screen to find it was my mother calling. I slid my finger across the screen as quick as I could. I have no idea why she would be calling so early this morning.
"Hello", I said, but there was silence on the other line. "Mom, you there? Are you okay?". Some rustling sounds where the only thing I could hear. "Oh, sorry Miracle, I had the phone on mute again. These damn phones are too hard to work sometimes. But anyhow, my night nurse never showed last night and my morning one said she was going to be late. I hate to bother you because I know it's Kareem's time, but I am so hungry". My heart instantly fell into my stomach. Not only am I failing as a wife, but as a daughter as well.
"I am already on my way home. In fact, I am about 5 minutes away. Mom, please promise me you will never wait this long to call me" I said with a sigh. "Okay baby, see you soon". She responded trying not to burden me any further.
In no time the car was pulling up in front of the house. Gathering all of my things and giving the man a $20 tip, I ran inside the house to try and figure out what was going on with the nurses.
I had to have them come daily because I work, and especially on the days I visit Kareem. All of it was starting to become very overwhelming.
"Mom I'm home! Don't get up, I'm coming to you with food!" I called out. I raced to the kitchen and started grabbing some eggs and bread to make quickly. Once finished I headed to my mom's room.
"Breakfast, well I guess you could say brunch" I said with a shy smile. I sat the plate in front of her and started getting all of her medication ready for her to take.
I left everything that she needed with her and made sure a nurse was going to come for the rest of the day. I just really needed some time to rest before I had to work the next day.
I got to my room and jumped in the shower, got out, dried off, and face planted in my bed. Before I knew it, I dozed off.
It was a little past 8:00pm when I was woken up by my phone ringing. It was Kareem, apparently he had called twelve times before now and I was just now seeing it.
"Hello" a very raspy voice was coming out. " Miracle, I told you to call me when you got home!" He shouted though the phone. " I need time to myself, since you like dropping bombs on people, at the last moment" I shot back at him.
"Look, I have already decided that this is going to work, so you need to get on board" he said in an angry tone. " I don't have to do anything, you broke our vowels and want me to accept that, I don't think so. Leave me the fuck alone Kareem" I cursed as I ended the call and slammed the phone down.
As soon as it hit the bed it rang again. This time it was an email from my manager.
I have some exciting news!!!! I have been offered a new position with one heck of a raise! The only thing that is bad about it, is I have to stop working with you. I know your mom is sick, so I won't even ask you to move to another state with me. But I did secure your job! In the morning, please go to my, now old, office and meet Malachi Brown. He will be taking over for me, and I already put in a good word for you. It was a pleasure working with you. I will miss you and will be hoping everything gets better for you!
- Jerry
I have worked as Jerry's assistant for four years and was going to miss him. He was like a friend. But now I was going to have to learn who this new man was. But for some reason the name Malachi Brown reminded me of someone I knew in middle school. He was the sweetest boy in school. He was the nerd of the school and not many people paid him too much attention. I thought he was cute with his full glasses and braces. One day he approached me with a flower and a notebook full of notes to help me study. He asked me on a date and I for sure said yes. We were supposed to go on a date but for some reason he disappeared from school the next week.
It doesn't really matter because I'm pretty sure that is not the same person. Maybe it is just me coming up with random scenarios to make forget all this drama between me and the man I married.
I put my phone on the charger and laid it down. And more notifications were coming in. They were from Kareem, and I had no energy left for him. I just felt so drained and decided to sleep some more.
