Prologue: Perpetual Time Journey
What matter is not life itself, but the matter on why such predicaments came loose in the law that governed Physics. One that opposed the natural order would bring chaos on the reality that a person had received. It had been a theory, but such predicaments would never be made public as fears and discomfort will rise up to the ashes, engulfing sorrows and confusion that one might to offer.
His name is Zel. The character that would be the hypothetical subject to prove this theory into felony or actualization. He is the one who lay on the greenish grass accompanied by the violent yet pleasant wind. Looking up, he saw the northern lake with fluffy white cottons gently floating and swaying to the rhythm of the winds.
Some would retort and say that it is the skies itself, but rumors thought of Gods who once split the abundant bluishness into halves. The first part was the water, appearing like waves that flow gently into rhythm, while the sky roamed free-spirited in natural disorder.
Perhaps this how it was seen by this boy. Only prickly grass and the windy waves loom around the horizon without an ounce of water gently stream no still. Will the sky would turn back to its original form? It would then suffocate the terrains and lifeforms between it.
Without the strength to move, he continued to search the emptiness of the sky, wondering its purpose of the unknown. He was the only one there - no one in sight - each ends of each directions showed nothing to traverse.
[Just a little more.] He might be able to find an answer, and so he continued this train of thought at least as many times than what his hands could count.
[Just a little more.] There has to be something there. The continuous train of though proved to be effective on ones idea to know that something must appear before him.
Minutes past through the unending uniformity. While so, it may just need a bit more time for Zel. He wouldn’t gave up as he had nothing to do. The pain of walking forward is much more taxing than to just lie and wait. Simple enough to just sleep, but such seconds wasted would yield negligence attention. Simply speaking, believing something might come unnoticed would be sulky - in a way - so it is important to remain attentive to his surroundings.
An hour past and still no signs of variance embraced through the naked eye. Is it all for naught? No! [Just a little more.] As boring as it is, one mistake would omit a great deal of encounters. The raging winds still blew and the fluffy clouds moved in patterns. A truly comforting yet sickening sight. There must be more than this for Zel to hope and believe. [Just a little more.] Anxiously waiting for a sign to come.
Days had past and Zel’s body grew numb. His hair had slightly grew and facial hairs were slightly noticeable. His eyes were slowly soared from gazing upon the empty sky. A little sign of hope still lingered from his spirit. Not one soon after, his thoughts continued to echo through his sanity. Why do this useless thing? It pains to think such thoughts. His mind grew crazy like a dumb old crook. The sky would still flow in never ending uniformity. If one look at it through a thousand years, one would had puked and had their soul die from a useless objective.
Unbeknownst to the person itself, his spirit was infallible.Yet his mind still remained disputed. The infallible spirit was one that lingered due to the strong belief that an answer would come - someday. . . His mind, incomparable to doubts, remained the opposite.
[What reason does the yellow star remain invisible? The common rationality is that day comes after night. So what reason does darkness remains elusive to me? If this world is fake, why does it seem realistic to me? Where does wind comes from here? Why is the sky so grandiose yet faint? Just a little more, I can find the answer. Just a little more. . . Just a little more. . .]
Several weeks had past and the only sense Zel could use was his sense of sight. His numb body never felt the raging winds pass through him. His entire mind shut down, and his eyes was teared through for more than a dozen of times that held no contempt, yet the spirit couldn’t be crushed through and through. It had remained strong and indestructible. The lids could no longer lapse and blink while his gentle yet delicate teary brown eyes was fixated towards the one and only sky.
[I can see something] or so he thought. The eyes were accustomed to the daily uniformity. There were no errors, but he believed there was. It was vexing, He wanted to believe it, but his will could be heard. It is sorrow that leads to false hope. It is torment that leads to realistic despair. Not one should make an assumption and be clear and coherent.
[But just a little more. Just a little more. No, not just a little more. I can see it. I can see it.]
Months past by and Zel’s eyes - still fixated on the sky - bled out red tears of blood. The numbness of his body continued to support his unbreakable spirit. No wonder why he was still able to continue. His beard grew yet again while his previous short black hair grew long and rusty, resting right around the grass and his body. Despite all this changes, The rhythm, the flow and the state was still at uniformity. Dizziness swell and illusions came by. [Was it a moon, was it the sun?] It was harder to breathe by the second. It’s completely illogical though. Thinking about it, he calmed his breathing. The illusions slowly disappear one by one. The rotating vision stopped, while the numbness suppressed the feeling of its pain. It never subsided.
[If were to start moving and touch the purity of the sky, would it cause a great deal of disturbance?] Different solutions came to mind, but all of them prove to be inconsistent. [No! The skies seems unreachable, and what seems to be my very own footsteps later would cause itself to return to the state of uniformity. If all case fails, I would remain infallible. I can see it, despite nothing, I can still see it. Just a little more. . . Just a little more.]
The constant days past just proved that the change can ‘change back’ to a constant depravity of unchanging circumstances. One can see from his former-active body turned into a constant numbness. Another would see his hypothetical, curious mind turned into never-ending doubts and thoughts. Even if new thoughts came to mind, it will eventually abide through the rules of the unchanging. What is the rule? Circumstances are still unknown. But the spirit of the man called out to cease the doubts and continued on.
Alas! The last day of the last minute of the last second of the year past by through unknown origins. Zel had slowly been consumed by the world. Even if his spirit had continued to be as strong as before, there would be no distinguished traits that could prove the opposition of the rule. Perhaps, his spirit has also been as firm, lead to what the world of uniformity to be in place.
This horrible dilemma struck like thunder. His own resistance and hope to break the uniformity was foiled by the same uniformity. However, the world that governs gave no disparities on the choice he was given. Sorrow and rage caught to him, but what he can only do was tear his mind altogether. Constant blood erupts around his eyelids as phantom pain looms over. It’s frightening, yet no shivers appear. The crisp greenish grass was now dyed by the color of human blood. Around him filled with ponds of year-end tears and blood.
[Has my time come?]
[Will I never find the answer?]
[Will I die like this?]
[Why am I still alive?]
[Why am I so lonely?]
[Why am I cold?]
[Will nothing change?]
[Will nothing be the different?]
[Shall I remain surface or in depths?]
[Why can’t I give up?]
[Why can I not stop giving up?]
Right now, his body, mind and soul had crushed down to his own darkness. The courage produced remain unchanged and would slowly vanished as if nothing existed. The past experiences and memories would not hold up a value as nothing had ever been unique from the start.
That’s when his spirit died down and his eyes slowly drop. A faint vision before the downfall. The white tiniest star from enduring an entire year of gaze.
[At last!] The raging wind remained evident, the pool of blood around him flowing, the pain around his body, the taste of his dried tongue, the intense burns of his eyes. A single motion that made him alive and back into a human being.
A sudden push and a gentle smile, pleasing with delight before the dark slumber. [Thank you.] The breathing calmed as gentle as a swoosh. No more hardships, no more endurance. The world’s uniformity had died and now comes a relief of surprises. But one thing would remain evident on this chaos that broke its uniformity. A gentle feminine being, or what it seems, like an angel falling to him. How blurred she is in sight, however her action would change the course of the unknown. She slowly and steadily used her gentle angelic whisper into his ears.
“My strings shall never be and will never be, in oath and in spirit, be apart for the two of us. I love you.”
And all faded to black.
When all darkness fell, light became as bright as a sun. Zel’s spirit - now pleased - remained vanish. His soul was now in pure delight. After the long-year end of severity was accomplished, one would expect the unchanging unconsciousness.
Or so he thought.
