BEA, DORA MAE, and ELSIE, three older widows and best friends, celebrate life and friendship through twelve short stories featuring the adventures, mishaps, and glory of their Christian lives. Each episode discusses the joy of living in a Christian community, including the sometimes-crazy antics and frolicking of the three ladies.
BEA, the sensible one and narrator, explains the relationships of DORA MAE DAVENPORT, the somewhat overbearing friend, and ELSIE COOKE, the ever munching and sometimes silly friend. The three Christian women rejoice at every event and step along their travels. Each short story features a recipe and a Bible verse. The stories begin with a New Year’s greeting, and then progress through the months of the year.
As others have said, you will find yourself recognizing these ladies or the similarity they share with people you know and love, because there is a little of the ladies in all of us.
