Chapter 1

Tyson angled his sniper away from his target and fired at the picture of the man’s family, he could hear the sound of the glass shattering all the way from the other roof.

“That was a warning so if I were you I would start talking,” Tyson said into his business phone as he watched the man through the lens on his weapon. The Commissioner was sweating and shaking in fear. “Look man I don’t know much... all I know is that this guy in an expensive suit came round to the station. He was Russian; had a Russian accent and he drove a fancy car with a horse on the front. That’s all I know I swear”. The man croaked out just loud enough for the person on the other line to hear, Tyson could tell he wasn’t lying. “you’ve got your information,” he said as the scared Commissioner hung up; leaving only his client on the line.

A notification chimed in.“There I’ve sent you your money.” A rough Russian voice replied. “But there’s another million in it if you kill the rat.” He smiled slyly before turning down the man’s offer. “f*ck you, I’ll wire you two more; if you kill him now,” the voice said in a rush. Tyson smiled at the screen notification and pulled the trigger.

Tyson walked nonchalantly out the building he had just used to assassinate the police commissioner. Pulling his hat low over his eyes he navigated his way through Waygate’s busy and overcrowded streets. He kept a constant watch on his surroundings, he had just robbed a Russian gang leader of three mil there was no way the man was not coming after him. Especially with his reputation.

His phone buzzed in his pocket and he decided to ignore it. Tyson stepped into his favorite bar and sat down to have a drink. “The usual?” Ed Carlos, the bartender of Wine and Honey, asked as Tyson sat down. “No something stronger, It’s been a long day. Really long.” Ed had barely turned away to get Tyson his drink when his phone started ringing. Annoyed Tyson dismissed the call and it started to ring again.

fucking annoying.

" You gonna answer that?” Ed asked Tyson very amused to see that the usually composed youth was annoyed. He shrugged and looked at the caller ID; no caller identification. Tyson answered the phone after downing the contents of his cup. “Look, I just finished a job and I’m not interested in anymore for now,” Tyson snapped and downed his second drink. “This isn’t a job Ty, it’s about Aemon. I need your help.” Tyson squeezed the glass he had been holding and it shattered startling the bartender and the others at the counter, he hadn’t been called that in a long time. “Please.” The voice said again. Tyson scowled and stood up. “I’m on my way.”

Ten minutes later Tyson found himself standing before a room he though he never thought he would ever see again. The office of the legendary Clark Xenathis. Stepping in he saw that nothing had changed. The room was large and stylishly decorated with expensive looking furniture. “It’s been a while ” Astrid said. She looked just like he remembered her: Stubborn, confident and Extremely beautiful, in a deadly kind of way, fortunately he didn’t swing that way. She was wearing a tight black skirt, a neat white shirt and her long black hair was in a loose cascading of unruly curls, which made him feel under dressed in his dark grey jeans and a black T-shirt. Sighing he replied ” It’s been six years, and I know you wouldn’t have sent a car for me if this wasn’t life and death so...” He trailed off, glancing at his surroundings again. “What’s the problem?”

Sighing she replied: “Someone kidnapped Aemon and we need your help to get him back, the catch is that the only way to get him back is by play a game.” Tyson smiled at her straightforwardness and shook his head in disbelief, this person was either unbelievably brave or incredible stupid- in this case it seemed like the latter. Does he even know I’m here. “So what game are we playing? Russian Roulette?”

Astrid looked Tyson dead in the eyes there was no laughter or even a spark of any other emotion in her piercing blue eyes. calmly she replied, ” He called it the Mafia games.” I take it back that person is insane.
