Standby
Today the earth's on standby, waiting for a start.
You wait upon the news you hear with a sullen heart.
Is it time yet to restart or wait another week... oh how I wish upon a star to make this journey peak.
Today the Earths on standby, and all I do is wait, yet more and more are in despair to hear the news this week.
Standby and trust those who lead, is all that we can do.
We wait and wait and stand up strong believing this will end, but all we do is sit and weep for those who have long gone.
Today it is my Birthday, but I will be alone, apart from my old faithful friend who chews upon his bone.
Standby they say, standby... but that is all I do , how I wish I had a family to whom that I could talk to.
Is this the end for as I ache, and cough and cough all day, but what about my faithful friend when I have my final day.
He sits by me as I weep and looks into my eyes, goodbye my friend I say to him .... He awaits on Standby.
