My Friend
My Friend
Imagine a world,
Beyond one's eye reach,
The small little town,
I begin breach,
I find a small friend,
A furry one too,
His eyes shining brightly,
Like a gem stone gift to you.
Walking among the silver paths,
My friend follows with an iron sash,
His fur brandishing the tips of my feet,
Letting the summer day become so neat.
We soon go to my home,
To lay our heads to sleep,
But my friend becomes hungry,
He must have something to eat.
As I begin to make him some dinner,
I pull out a knife,
Cutting the fruit and vegetables for our tasteful delight,
As I begin to slice,
My friend lets out a grin,
I give him a frown,
That's not very much like him.
I finish the slicing,
And I put the knife away,
My friend starts to frown,
Then lets out an evil growl.
I shake my head 'no',
We have our things to eat.
There's no need for more,
What could this mean?
My friend comes to me,
And begins to caress his tail against my skin,
I smile at him and pull out the knife,
It wouldn't hurt if he were to win.
I pull out the fruits and vegetables once more,
I begin to cut them,
He smiles forever more.
At the end of the night,
I realized something quick,
That my friend was causing me a fright,
After all the fruits and vegetables had all been used quick.
There was no food left,
But my friend was still hungry.
I let out a sigh,
I begin to ignore the lore,
I forget that this friend of mine,
Let's me brandish the knife once more.
