Different
"wasn't expecting to be a short story, it was well written, love it the refreshing names, and the places, totally different. this has a lot of potentials, can't wait for more work. Well done!"
Sensory and Visual Masterpiece
"This is a fascinating short story about Hafsah. It took me right back to Accra, and I felt as though I was experiencing each moment with Hafsah. Princess Faith Nkrumah does a great job of illustrating a story while still leaving room for your imagination to run. This was a great storyline and authentic to its origin. I'm excited to read more from her, and hopefully, My only wish is that it was longer. I hope Hafsah's story becomes a complete novel one day."
Interesting and touching!
"This is a touching story of a suffering and homeless young woman battling against all odds to survive and thrive. Interesting opening paragraph, though this could be better written in an active form rather than in a passive form. You have a good way of describing things i like. I enjoyed that the story slips in and out of flashbacks, a skill i can see you are good at. I enjoyed reading about Hafsah and her ordeal. And the story can benefit from light editing that will take care of some word omissions and few spelling errors. Good story!"
Impressive
"Absolutely loved the DETAILS!! The descriptiveness brought the images to life and I could imagine the scenes vividly as the story unfolded. The actual plot was good as well. Did not expect the ending, which is great because I love that the story was unpredictable. The story structure was also good. With the occasional flashbacks introducing the reader to different scenes and a bit of a backstory. That was lovely. Some of the sentence construction though. Some bits were difficult to read cos there were too long. A break (comma or semicolon) in some instances would have helped the situation. Also 'its' and 'it's'. There were a few mix-ups with these. All in all, a great short story. With some tweaks in the sentence constructions, I expect to see even greater stories. I'll be on the lookout. :)"
It was a look into another world
"Like my title indicated, it really was a glimpse into another world. Although it was short, I felt like I was there with Hafsah. I appreciated the little details about the market- it really made it come alive. The writing style was quite well developed. There were a few minor grammar mistakes and some places, the sentence structure was a bit clunky/could do with some proofreading but it is nothing a few minutes of tweaking can't solve. All in all, it was well written and I enjoyed reading it."
